Matt Campbell statue in Ames?

So, the real question is, they still gonna put up a statue in Ames for Matt Campbell … err, CMC? (A totally different question altogether, but why do Cyclone fans seem to be the only fanbase that speaks “acronym” when referring to their coaches? Can you imagine any Iowa fan saying CKF? CBM? Buncha gd f’ing nerds.)

Anyway, last week when they were celebrating a “great” and “unbelievable” and “historic” 2026 recruiting class (which btw ranks in the bottom half of the conference but is considered great by ISU standards), there was chatter about putting up a statue for Campbell.

Now that he bailed one day after his recruiting class press conference where he talked about loyalty and integrity, do Iowa State fans still want a statue of him? After he left the program dazed, confused, and circling the drain, is he still loved and admired there?

I know I'm being a bit nitpicky, but I do see KF and PP used a ton.

As far as the statue goes, I'll lol pretty hard.

Campbell had one really good season, last year, ONE, and they are talking statue. The Clown fans are really heavy duty clowns themselves.

Nebraska fans do the same thing. I know, it seems kind of ghey- not that there's anything wrong with that.

Can you imagine you start the season 5 - 0 and hype about CFP and then you lose 4 in a row and your coach dumps you like a bad habit and you don't even go to a bowl?

First time I ever saw the “C” added was by the SEC fans down South when describing Urban Meyer during his days at Florida.

Birds need a place to take a crap. A Campbell statue would be a great for that.

Finlgun, I guess you and I are the only ones that thought it was somewhat clever for SEC opponents to use the acronym *** for Urban Meyer!
