Great that he wears his emotions like that.
I prefer that then to Frosty Fitz
Great that he wears his emotions like that.
He did well. Evaded pressure, very very few dangerous throws. Ran when needed. Managed clock. Happy for him.Stone 25/30 305 yards 2 TD 0 INT
So you’re ready to keep him? He’s a good man and he cares a lot. I’m very very very happy for him and the boys.
Why pissed?Good Lord. I don’t know if I should feel overjoyed, relieved or pissed? I think it is a combo right now. Credit for not giving up after a disaster in the first half.
Braun stays!. Now go 7-5!
Also there heretofore inconsistent QB had a monster game and willed the team to win. This game was almost like the game in'23 when we had a great comeback. Another great comeback in the 4th qtr today just no OT
Because we did so many bad things to keep them in the game. I honestly thought we would win by double digits coming in. A win by 1 counts as much as a win by 50, but NU had the best team coming in and in some phases of this game we were very poor. Bottom line is NU won, so it’s a good day even if this really exposed a lot of ongoing issues . Now isn’t the time to rain on the parade,Why pissed?
Welcome to the world of college football. That’s literally every team in the country save maybe the top 5. Coming back down 28-13 with no momentum was legit!!Because we did so many bad things to keep them in the game. I honestly thought we would win by double digits coming in. Of course. I’ve said all year long 6-6 is a solidly successful season and would be ground to keep him without reservation. I still have all the exact concerns about his roster building I did all year, but this was a good bounceback season and he deserves to stay. And I’m happy he achieved it! I hope we give him a lot more resources and our rosters get better and better! He’s a good and likable man.So you’re ready to keep him?
Incredible pass pro, that Mn team gets after the QB and has a stud rusher in Smith, who did NOTHINGNice win by the Cats basically won by Stone/offense/receivers. We give up way too much on kick returns and flubbed one ourselves so special teams not so special today. Great effort by Stone and generally solid pass protection by our o-line. A game we should have won and put away early but a disaster 2nd Q let Minnie back in. Great effort in the 2nd half for the win. Always enjoy beating Fleck. Does this win insure Braun’s job? He’s a good guy, liked his emotional post-game interview. Go Cats!
Very disappointed they didn't raise the W flaga
Not over yet. I think we have a decent shot to beat Illinois.Of course. I’ve said all year long 6-6 is a solidly successful season and would be ground to keep him without reservation. Totally agree and I’ve been saying so. But as far as being ready to see Braun lead our boys in Purple onto New Ryan Field next September I’m ready to fully retire the discussion. 8 wins is on the table! Not over yet. I think we have a decent shot to beat Illinois.
I would add Stone to that list who won the game. Funny how his success is correlated with protection.Offensive line won this game. They opened up rushing lanes and protected Stone allowing him to have a career day passing. We had over 500 yards of total offense and ran a nice play for a 2 point conversion.
And poor DBs who let our WRs actually get open a lot. Ricky A showed me something making some nice catches today. We still need a lot more talent there but this was actual progress.I would add Stone to that list who won the game. Funny how his success is correlated with protection.
The announcer at the game said that northwestern has some of the fewest sacks in the country. They have given up only three in the last six games. Minnesota's pressure actually wasn't terrible, stone just did a good job of evading it.I would add Stone to that list who won the game. Funny how his success is correlated with protection.
