Greenway makes cut to 22. Quite an accomplishment.
Looking forward to your article, Kyle.Ava Heiden's high school season was over after 7 games last year due to an injury. She tells me she had a grade 2/3 sprain in three places on her ankle, but has rehabbed and is back now.
Article coming tomorrow on her and what is going on with her summer with Northwest Select.

Granddaughter and I flew down from the Valley on Tuesday to support the USA group. The U16 kids have dominated, Mexico will likely be another 50+ point win. Crump was involved to an extent last year with the U17 group if memory serves me correctly. Quite a collection of young talent here, and certainly no shortage of eyes on them.Coach Raina is in Mexico for the FIBA U16 girls’ Americas Cup. This is a Team USA that cut Maddyn Greenway and Jenica Lewis in one of the last 2 rounds of cuts. 15-player roster. Games are live-streamed on Youtube. Links via @usabjnt on Twitter.
Raina follows 6 on the roster, 4 of whom (*) already have Iowa offers. I’m looking for an offer to Aaliyah Crump soon since she’s out of MN, and has announced just one offer, from the Gophers. Must’ve made major strides very recently to make this team. Trinity Jones led the team in Game 1 & Dee Alexander led in Game 2. Game 3 late tonight 9p CT.
@JaylaJordyn Jayla Jackson* (MI)
@AddisonBjorn Addison Bjorn* (KC)
@JerzyRobinson Jerzy Robinson (AZ)
@crump_aaliyah Aaliyah Crump (MSP)
@dee__2025 Dee Alexander* (OH)
@Trinityjones014 Trinity Jones* (CHI/Naperville)
Jerzy, Dee, & Bjorn have offers from everybody in WBB. Huesmann doesn’t have us offering Jerzy tho, curiously. We offered Trinity early; she just picked one up from Staley.
Crump had an early Badger offer, and has Texas and Baylor offers as well. Will be interesting to see if Iowa jumps in. Bluder/Jensen have had very little traction with the numerous top 100 recruits from Hopkins, and the Hopkins coach for much of that time now coaches Crump at Minnetonka.. . . I’m looking for an offer to Aaliyah Crump soon since she’s out of MN, and has announced just one offer, from the Gophers. . . .
My guess is that the committment of Teagan Mallegni pushed her away from Iowa.Her top 3 narrowed down to Iowa, Illinois and Harvard. Somehow a trip to L’il Red country changed her mind. Named first team All State. Played in Class 1A.
From the Southern Illinoisan :
CHRISTOPHER — Amiah Hargrove has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The First Team All-State Christopher Bearcats basketball player said in March that she had narrowed her choices to Iowa, Illinois and Harvard, but was apparently more impressed with the University of Nebraska after making a recent visit.
Hargrove made her big announcement via Twitter late Wednesday afternoon. She was unavailable for comment.
Hargrove scored 866 points (24.7 per game) this past season and yanked down 9.2 rebounds each contest.
Moreover, the 6-foot-2 junior tacked on 2.3 steals, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks each game. She also converted a stunning 62% of her field goal opportunities, including 35% shooting from beyond the 3-point arc. Hargrove was almost automatic from the free-throw line, knocking down 85% or 134-of-157.
Mallegni is listed as a 6'0 guard. Hargrove is a wing that will torment the Hawks for years to come. Maybe Iowa did not want to spook Deal, Speiser or Davidson. Be that as it may, the Hawks appear to have alot of small, non-athletic recruits, other then Heiden. Also, the Hargrove pick up makes the Huskers alot more attractive to Prince.My guess is that the committment of Teagan Mallegni pushed her away from Iowa.

Talented players enjoy playing with other skilled teammates. Do you think Prince is adverse to that?Also, the Hargrove pick up makes the Huskers alot more attractive to Prince.
And you know this how?
Hargrove, in a recent article, explained after narrowing her choices to Iowa, Ill, and Harvard, chose to visit Neb. She said "things change in the transfer portal". Illinois brought in Shay Bollin, a four star soph wing from Duke from the portal.My guess is that the committment of Teagan Mallegni pushed her away from Iowa.
I don't claim to think what is Prince's mindset unlike everybody on the forums.Talented players enjoy playing with other skilled teammates. Do you think Prince is adverse to that?
Just pointing out the obviousI don't claim to think what is Prince's mindset unlike everybody on the forums.
Appears it may be hard to beat Army for class of 2026 PG Nakia Ollivierre out of Wellsburg, Iowa.
My daughter has tan against her in track for the last few years. Super athletic. I haven’t seen her in the basketball court so may have to go when we play them next year.Nice player...and continuing to get better. She will have many options when it is all said and done.
I watched a couple of AIA games this weekend. Very talented team. They added a girl named Chloe Johnson from Duluth who will be in 8th grade (!!!) this fall. I think she led the team in scoring one game. Pretty amazing that she can play against seniors and be so effective. I also watched a couple of Ava Heiden’s games at the Run 4 The Roses tournament in Louisville. I was a little disappointed in her offense but she is very disruptive on defense. She will be very good once Jan has some time with her. Her teammate, Jazzy Davidson, is phenomenal. A lefty who has all the tools.Any information or rumblings from the Nike Tournament of Champions this past weekend in Chicago? I saw Bluder was there...curious who she watched.
FWIW, the HoopGurlz rankings listed in the first two posts are now out of date, e.g., Houston and Bourrage are now ranked. Not a big deal, appreciate the updates. Perhaps add the new rankings without deleting the old rankings. Interesting to see the movement, i.e. Britt Prince fell from # 10 to # 25.First two posts are updated with most recent offers, plus the addition of Lilly Williams, Layla Hays, Caliyah DeVillasee and Amari Byles after their recent Iowa offers. Also added the offers for Jordan Ode who recently released her offer list.
