Russell and whoever stopped Underwood saved the end of the first half.
Agree the first and goal series was way mismanaged. It’s reasonable to throw on first down after the chunk play to try to get the quick TD. But after that they should’ve run on second and third regardless of whether they’re going for a FG or TD on 4th. The bigger picture was not giving Michigan a full minute with a timeout.
7-6 and getting the ball after halftime is respectable but I fear it’ll be like Oregon and USC games, hey we hung in there for a half so it’s a moral victory.

Also why has Carsello suddenly regressed on his snaps, I counted at least 3 noticeably bad snaps in the first half.
The goal line offense is already bad, against a defense like Michigan it feels insurmountable. When Welcing didn’t get in on the long pass it felt like we were destined for 3.
I'm OK with those play calls, but the throws were terrible. Running on Mich isn't like running on anyone else we've played.
Horrible red zone offense with multiple passes knocked down by Mich defense linemen. Defense has been bend but not break with a nice forced fumble by Saka. Don’t like that Marshall has so many receptions and yardage. Overall we are playing well but actually should be leading at the half if we had any kind of red zone offense. If we are inside the 10 we should be running the ball.

Would like to see Himon in the red zone.. seems to have the hot hand to me.
I feel like we can exploit their aggressive defense. They’re loading the box and bringing 6 or 7 on a lot of plays.
Underwhelming series especially the screen on 3rd and 15 that had no chance. I wonder if they were expecting a blitz and everyone upfield because that wasn’t going anywhere.
Feels like not getting a TD before half and not getting any score here is a killer, if they score it’ll just get out of hand like Oregon and USC games. By Braun’s own word we had to capitalize on the last 4 before half and first 4 after.

The Mich qb killed us in that series. We had them 3rd and 7 and their qb ran to make the 1st the later made a great fake to saunter into the endzone. Our offense needs to come back with a score.
Yup they’re going to give this back to UM even though they shouldn’t.
