Probably nothing but maybe something but probably not..

Bjorn only follows Kansas and UNC Women’s basketball on instagram.

But the thing I find really odd..

Lewis posted OV photos to TCU, ND, and Iowa.(Lewis did not like comments on her Oregon OV post from the summer.)

Bjorn posted OV photos to UNC, ND, and Iowa.

Lewis and Bjorn liked comments on the the OV to all the other schools they’ve visited in the fall.. but on their Iowa posts they both have liked no comments. Again.. probably nothing but odd that they both didn’t like any comments.

To be fair, Kansas has had a lot of recent success in its recruiting. They have S'Mya Nichols who is playing lile a a first-round pick in the WNBA draft. Kansas got two 5-star recruits in the 2025 class, one of whom had 29 points and 12 rebounds in her debut. If Kansas gets Bjorn, it would be a team with four 5-stars. How many teams in the country have four 5-stars? Seven or eight teams at most. But obviously I hope Bjorn choice Iowa. And I think Iowa will continue to recruit stronger and stronger, while I don't know if Kansas will be able to maintain this success for very long.
Kansas signed two highly recruited Forwards this year - a 4star Colorado POY and a 5star McD AA. Tough to crack that lineup as a starter. Kansas is indeed loaded; makes you wonder if Libby Fandell will get off the bench anytime soon.

Libby was starter in Kansas first game of the season. She’s #43 in the 2025 class. One of the four highest-ranked players on KU (and would be the third-highest-ranked player on Iowa if she were on our roster, almost tied with Ava Heiden, #42 in the 2024 class).

If we do land Bjorn, will Emely transfer out? Emely already might not start much this season (I think she should start) and getting two Five Stars at her positions wouldn't help her playing time. I'm hoping both can commit and stay at Iowa but who knows what will happen.

Actually wondered more about mallegni, but its all just speculation right now as she hasn't made her decision.

Both are versatile players who can play in multiple positions. That's not a problem.

I think Iowa should start recruiting in Europe too. Geno has a team with 15 players, ten 5-stars players, three 5-star PGs and went to Europe to get a 30-40 point games PG. Recruiting on HS, Portal and Europe is the future. Three-level recruiting.

Whatever I still think Geno is an ahole as far as I am concerned. With the exception of when it helps Iowa (about 1 in 1000) I root against UConn.

I have been advocating for selectively recruiting international players for years - not only Europe but Australia also which is a youth WBB hotbed now. There is overlooked/under-recruited talent overseas IMO and opening a path to IC makes even more sense now since the advent of NIL…….AND …… those young international prospects certainly know who Caitlin Clark is and the logo from where she launched many shots.

Jan is already taking a half step back from national recruiting, given Iowa's recruiting challenges. Seems unlikely to embrace international recruiting, absent some pre-existing connection to a recruit. In the portal, Iowa apparently offered good money to both Gal Raviv (Israel, who we'll see tomorrow) and Elina Aarnisalo (Finland), without success.

And I'm betting Lucy is telling every young player she sees in Australia how wonderful her experience as a Hawkeye was! She's a great ambassador. Hopefully that helps a bit too.
