I think it was like a 5K for 5 straight years thing previously, but I think last year was the final year for that. I haven’t seen another public initiative for a fundraiser. You definitely have to pay extra to get the floor seats.
I'm guessing it is similar to the Women's Basketball Bench Seat Fund mentioned earlier, which is now $6k for 5 years.I think it was like a 5K for 5 straight years thing previously, but I think last year was the final year for that. I haven’t seen another public initiative for a fundraiser.
The good news is that means we won't see a large block of dook, wolpfack or VT fans sitting in the bleachers across from their bench.Sad that the bleachers are no longer general admission but I’ll be requesting those sections. At least I won’t have to get to games so early to get seats for the big games.
One can only hope! The good news is that means we won't see a large block of dook, wolpfack or VT fans sitting in the bleachers across from their bench.
Just checked my account and see the parking fee has been charged also. Getting excited. Go Heels!Parking has shown up in my account, so must be getting close to releasing season tickets.
I think CO is Cobb Deck. How are the rows numbered in the lower level. I'm old and can't remember.
Also, I got a parking pass. It says level 1 * section CO * row 2 * seat 9..... but doesn't say which lot or deck it's in. I'm hoping it's just verifying that I have a pass because I have no idea where this is lol.
Just checked and I am now in 116, also the bleachers. Should be a great seat for viewing but not so much for my old back. Most of the time there will be seats available elsewhere. Not sure what to do. Let us know if you have any luck.I am calling the ticket office in the morning to raise hell. The past 3 years we have been moved from 111 to 113 to 118 now which is the bleachers….. after selecting the option for our same seats as last year if unable to move us to 113.
we are not happy at all…..
We are 118. That’s pretty much where I am too- Mom is getting older, bleachers aren’t necessary a good thing to have to do every game.Just checked and I am now in 116, also the bleachers. We had our same seats in 107 for ages, including some rough years when others left. No idea why we were moved back now, especially since we’ve increased our giving. That said, I never expect Carolina to honor loyalty. We're also in 107... same seats we have had for several years.
Same section, same seats, down one row. 4th year we've had season tix, and we've had different seats every season. I've long wished and asked RC for seat selections for WBB and, especially now baseball (since they changed allocation last year). My biggest issue is my "best available" doesn't always align with theirs.I wish they’d let us pick seats like they do for season football tix in Kenan. That process is much more open. It’s not that hard to do from a technology perspective. The way they do it now can lead to questions and mistrust. Sunshine is a great disinfectant.
True, and that's why I will get as specific as possible if I ever ask for different seats. You mentioned baseball, and I'm sure they would consider seats in the first few rows behind the plate to be better than where I sit, which is near the top of sec 107. I prefer those seats because they are in the shade much sooner than most of the stadium. My biggest issue is my "best available" doesn't always align with theirs.
From what I have heard, Section 112 has been reserved for students this year along with 102.Phew, moving all the way across from 112 to 103 and back several rows...Guess everyone is getting shuffled. 100% on board with a seat selection process like FB, particularly if demand is growing, which it appears to be.
Exactly to both. I had to raise hell 2 seasons ago in men’s basketball when they inexplicably moved me to “better seats” in men’s basketball despite my request of “same seats” we had for 20-plus years. They claimed two rows closer to the court but on the baseline was better than the angle in the corner. 1. No it isn’t. 2. I explicitly wanted to stay with our friends. I got my seats back after letting them know they would eventually have a security issue when I refused to move from my established seats.True, and that's why I will get as specific as possible if I ever ask for different seats. That makes sense as great as their turnout has been, that way you take those sitting in that upper level of the current block and move them down and further bolster the noise. From what I have heard, Section 112 has been reserved for students this year along with 102.
So, it looks like students will be in 102 and 112 this year as opposed to 102 & 103 last year. That makes sense as it is behind both goals and you can have a little bit of your view affected. Also, puts them behind both goals during FTs and should help with chants, etc. Overflow will still be GA areas. Band still in 101.That makes sense as great as their turnout has been, that way you take those sitting in that upper level of the current block and move them down and further bolster the noise.
We are 118 Row 6 as well. I know the cheerleaders are normally on the first 2 rows and standing the entire game. Anyone who sat in bleachers previously, does that impact your court view up to row 6?Exactly to both. Yeah, I fear what baseball will be this year.
As for women’s basketball, my seats finally showed up this morning in 116 row 6 (apparently they aren’t using letter rows in the bleachers?). I am glad to be in the bleachers but would prefer higher. I liked the general admission last year in which we were able to be midcourt up high for every single game. Oh well.
Removing GA keeps visitors out of them.I liked the general admission last year in which we were able to be midcourt up high for every single game. Oh well.
Yeah those wuffies tend to travel well lolRemoving GA keeps visitors out of them.
