LOL. 6 seasons. So Ash and Flood had no obligation to beat a top 25 team? Also, we didn't play any top 25 teams this year, and I believe last year Illinois was ranked in one poll. We also didn't play Cult last year or this yet.

4 years, Ash started the 4th season and Flood was here save for when he was suspended. And, you have said repeatedly Flood was a great coach, why didn't he have any top 25 wins in 4 years? Greg then had to clean up that mess. And we haven't even played a top 25 team this year. He probably should have scheduled differently, lol. Not to mention again last year Illinois wasn't even ranked in both polls. And that was one.

Greg’s done a great job cleaning up Ash’s mess for sure. But he’s shown he can’t do much else.
So shouldn't Flood have beaten a top 25 team in that span, having inherited a team that was doing so shortly before his arrival?
I wish he had. Sure. I’m not sure any coach is “supposed” to upset a top 25 team. And he didn’t even play a top 25 team his first season with that said team…
but when coaches are doing it every week and Rutgers hasn’t even done it in years - that speaks volumes about coaching.

Going to say it again. It matters a lot less. Just like nobody giving Flood credit for beating Michigan. It's not a signature win. It's an everybody gets a trophy win, and something RU fans can be happy about, but not a significant win for college football generally. There will surely be fans who think Greg will deserve a huge raise and an extension if it happens, but they love mediocrity.
It would not be a signature win unless they somehow won every game between today and then which I doubt.
The point is the hypocrisy. The same posters want to credit UCLA for beating a "name" team but not us. Of course we have done it. We beat UW coming off a NC game appearance. OP was not going crazy about that.
Also at least on this board and from what I have seen elsewhere, most "fans" are rooting for us to lose out, believing it will result in GS being fired (LOL) and hiring a "splash" (LMAO).
