Phil is a helluva d coordinator but his whole system is based on making the other team go the length of the field and to be fair, especially in the B1G West we’ve seen a lot of bad QB’s over the years. Last night we saw a QB that had all day to pass with some very legit receivers, one being an NFL caliber receiver. Our LB’ers were nowhere to be found on the field last night. Phil made the adjustment and decided to go full pressure the 2nd half and leave our guys 1 on 1 for the most part. Thought they actually performed admirably.

What does that even mean?

It was a simple question: "would you rather it 21-21 or 7-7, at half?"

Posted the same question during the 2nd Q of the Missouri game. "Would you rather it 14-14, or a tied game with a lower score?"

In the Missouri thread, no one answered the question until after Iowa had taken a 21-14 lead.

And in this thread, the only person to claim they prefer it 21-21, is a notorious desitin user any time Iowa doesn't put up at least 30 points.

It’s a simple question; that for some reason no one wants to answer 🤔

I'd rather have hope that the team I root for can overcome a 7 point deficit. You know, like every other team in college football. That's what's been missing for the last several years.

Lmao you are such a joke. Why the f does it matter? Eyes, do you prefer 3-3 at half or do you prefer 7-7? Were you just furious after we tied it up at 14-14? Were you rage masturbating on your couch when we beat Ohio State 55-24? Sorry it wasn't 25-24 little buddy.

By the way 21-21 seems nice because 90% of the time that'd indicate our offense moved the ball and I'd be confident in PP making adjustments and tightening things up after half.

Theres some sweet videos of the Wing T offense from 1942 on Youtube waiting for you sweetheart.

And what would that have to do with ballgames that are tied?

He spent all season last year arguing the defensive decline was because defense didn't get enough emphasis in practice due to Lester's offense being implemented. In his "eyes"', you can't have both units performing at a high level.

346 yards of offense… but for Iowa it felt like 518!
Remember to add another 140 yards to Iowa’s total. Special team yards count too, altho many “experts” seem to disregard them. Didn’t the TD run in the opening KO count 6 points?
How many “return yards” did Rutgers have? Let me know, ok?

We asked for Phil's DBs to play poorly?
You think the DBs played “poorly” last night? Rutgers completed a lot of passes in the first half but most of that was because they gave 2-3 really good receivers that catch the ball. Sine of it was lack of pressure on the QB by the d-line.. and a small present was DBs being out of position. But to say the DBs played “poorly” is a gross exaggeration, methinks.

Unfortunately that has not been the priority for many fans
Link to any fan claiming that winning is not the highest priority?

Criticizing the offense doesn't count.
Criticizing the coaching staff doesn't count.
Criticizing the philosophy in general doesn't count.

Link to one post that states "I would rather lose doing XXX than win doing XXX."?
Take as much time as you need. Until you provide the requested info, you are again a proven liar.

Eyes was referring to the 21 points given up in the first half. At that point, yeah. They adjusted well in the second half.

No, you are again out of line calling me a liar. Get a clue man.

You know know darn well the Beacon archives haven't been transferred over to provide such links.

How about the people who have told us they've quit watching? How does that happen with a program that has been more consistently successful than nearly every non-blue blood, and even some blue bloods? Cleary their priority was being entertained by a certain type of product.

How about the people who criticize after wins?

How about the people who habitually criticize a consistently successful program over decades? If winning is their priority, they sure don't show it

None of what you described proves that anyone values anything over winning.

If you're not a liar, then you're incredibly stupid. Which is it? Simple question.

You ever think to read the whole thread @joelbc1 ? I covered all this last night after the game...
38 points, 518 yards of offense and won the turnover battle. I like it...
Are you including return yardage??

Of course, why wouldn't you? Plus we were almost completely balanced.
172 return yards, 186 passing, 160 rushing. Perfection. Balance...
