You're just too quick TT. Was just going to post.this.
He made some great movies. 3 Days of the Condor was a fav of mine along with the many blockbusters everyone remembers
I can’t remember the movie but remember him driving an old Porsche 911 to a mountain ski resort. That movie made me want a 911 and I eventually bought a 1983 911 because of it. I am sure the one he drove was older but it did make me really love those cars
First thing that popped into my mind.. add Downhill Racer, The Candidate, Sundance! For Condor fans.. two TV series.. streaming really.. Condor on Prime and Slow Horses on AppleTVYou're just too quick TT. Was just going to post.this.

I liked Sneakersoh I think Sneakers was properly rated.. of generously rated if anything.. not RR's fault
but geeze.. so many films for Redford.. it's crazy.. Electric Horseman.. Barefoot in the Park.. just a huge filmography of good films.. and I'd guess he turned down a lot of great roles as well.. AI says..
The 12 roles Robert Redford reportedly turned down include:
- The Graduate (Benjamin Braddock)
- Serpico (Frank Serpico)
- Jaws (Matt Hooper)
- The Godfather (Michael Corleone)
- Superman (Clark Kent/Superman)
- Apocalypse Now (Willard)
- Love Story (Oliver Barrett IV)
- Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (initially declined, later accepted)
- The Way We Were (Hubbell Gardiner, initially hesitant)
- The Great Gatsby (Jay Gatsby, considered but passed)
- Rosemary’s Baby (Guy Woodhouse)
- Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Nick)
MANY people work in so many different jobs.BUT the people who affect our lives the most seem to be in the entertainment industry. SPORTS,obviously included.Definitely in some classics!
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Jeremiah Johnson
Three Days of the Condor
The Natural
Spy Game
Downhill Racer
The Sting
C'mon, guys. The Last Castle. RU's Jimmy G. was the warden.

hmmm.. have to disagree.. its nice to have a distraction.. common cultural touchstones.. but they don't affect our lives.. that's what family and friends are for.. colleagues also.MANY people work in so many different jobs.BUT the people who affect our lives the most seem to be in the entertainment industry. yeah AI did not word that properly.. they noted one case where he said no and changed his mind.. prolly more money offered.. but they missed Gatsby and for The Way They Were just said he was initially hesitant without explictly saying he did it.I believe he did play Jay Gatsby. He would have been horribly miscast in Serpico and The Godfather.
I believe Gene Hackman played his coach in that movie, if I remember correctly.Downhill Racer?
