Hawks have five big visits scheduled

Woliczko #6 - this weekend
Battle #42 - September 11
Murray #50 - September 20
Krstevski #31 - October 17
Lewis #19 - October 24
Byles #28 - October 24 (added)

Hope McKenna gets thing kicked off on a positive note and the dominos fall after that.

Go Hawks!
Just wanted to bump this up again. Rumor has it that Addison Bjorn #13 will also be visiting on a yet undisclosed date.

Rumors are that Battle cancelled, and I haven’t seen anything posted about the visit. Of course we all know the Woliczko decision is still up in the air. Hoping for the best, but sounds like it is no given.

There are at least 5 open scholarships for next year. Getting commitments from two of those seven listed would be outstanding. Getting three would rank right up there as one of the Hawkeyes best recruiting classes ever.

Addison Bjorn is visiting the 27th. Will be in town for the Indiana game.

With 5 open scholarships, this class could go from what would be one of the best ever at Iowa to a who the f cares class pretty quickly.....hoping Woliczko commits quickly and the flood gates open.

Just 1 commit since Jan took over. Hopefully that changes soon. ;)

Good story from Hawk Central:

I posted that the visit got moved up a couple of days in the Swarm Lounge.
So, speaking from a 20 days ago visit. Kyle, obviously you won't be updating every day, but 20 days later, a lot must have happened since you posted the RPM. If you posted the RPM for the first time today, what would the percentage be? 🫣

Not sure what to make of Murray's visit late in the week. Solid player with a very good perimeter game. Watched her video again, she also has a good mid-range jumper and handles the ball well. At 6' - 1" she has the height for a SG. Excellent list of offers.

I also see Bjorn cut her list to seven schools. Hawks are still in it with Duke, NC, ND, UConn, Texas, and Kansas. Tough competition to be sure.

Vienna Murray is expected to enter ESPN ranking in the next update. Based on her recent evaluations and offers, it doesn't make sense she to be outside the top 100 recruits in the 2026 class.

I heard Iowa was kind of late to offer, but at least got a visit. Has some good offers out there…about half the Big Ten schools, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Arizona State and others.
Iowa was late to offer, but they had been watching her and had a relationship with her for longer than that. She had been to a couple of camps as well.

It's like some girls from the class of 2027 who haven't received offers from Iowa yet but have seems already a relationship with the program, like Micah Ojo (#7), Miciah Fusilier (#13), and Jessie Moses (#26), who follow and/or are followed by Iowa's coaching staff on social media. Sometimes the relationship starts before the offer.

Has there been any update on 2027 Sydney Savoury? She was brought up when Iowa offered Greenway and people commented it's still a long way to go, but Iowa had actually also started to recruit Savoury who is a year younger than Greenway. I haven't read anything about her since then.

Depending on how the '26 class shakes out, they are likely to be extremely limited on scholarships for '27. Only 1 junior is listed on the roster and that is Kenise who likely could also be listed as a RS Soph because she didn't play a single minute last year due to injury. Of course the portal might be a factor but I don't see Jan maxing out at 15 scholarships.

If not now it’s likely a matter of time.
I don't disagree at all with any of the intel that Bjorn is a heavy Uconn lean. But with red shirt/extra year eligibility from the season 2 years ago where half their team got injured they technically only know they have 2 scholarships to offer the 2026 class, not the 3 you would assume looking at their chart online. Bjorn is also expected to drag it out until November. If Vukosa and another player decide to go to UCONN before her she may end up elsewhere. And with how UCONN recruits there is no guarantee she is even in their top 2 choices.

Even if it's very likely she ends up there, it is far from a foregone conclusion.

Totally agree, and that's why said "likely". I do have great confidence in Jan and staff, and what has been built here. For the reasons you mentioned plus the positives that Iowa brings, Iowa does indeed have a chance here.

Another thing to keep in mind is Geno is 71 years old. I'm not saying this is his last season. He very well might look at Sarah Strong as another dynasty level center piece for the next 3 seasons, but he can get more immediate impact in the portal. Grab one top 5 HS kid every season and add 2 proven players in the portal every year until you want to retire.

At 71, you don't always get to choose when to retire. Sometimes your health dictates things. Nothing lasts forever, even that guy.
