It already is Are you in denial or just oblivous to all the people around the country who've been snickering at the ineptness the last couple of years. The brand is already taking a hit. When people start writing articles that it's time for your coach to go...it's a pretty clear sign.
Nobody cares about media trying to get clicks.

Coaches are in the know. Recruits listen to people in the know. They don't give a crap about the media

All media is for clicks to one degree or another (including Angerer's podcast) That doesn't mean their opinions are invalid. If you don't think what people read in the media (especially impressionable young recruits) affects their perception of things you're naive.

That said, recruits (and the coaches recruiting them) can see with their own eyes what Iowa's offense has become. As Bob Dylan said "I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows".

Look man, KFz has done a lot of great things for Iowa football and the University. He's had quite the career and deserves appreciation and respect. We can all agree on that. But you can't ignore the trainwreck that the offense has become. You can be honest about that and still support the man in general.

Here's the dream scenario where both sides win.

KF goes on an insane winning streak. He wins-out and earns a Natty.

Then in the off-season Mary says, "Honey, remember the way Hayden went out. You don't want to do that. Go out on top." Kirk spends 7 days considering her advice while achieving a higher plane of wisdom in a sweat lodge. Then on the 8th day he emerges from the teepee and calls his PR Team (aka the Iowa Athletic Department) and requests that they set up a press conference.

At the presser he says, "I stayed as long as I did because I wanted to win this for the school. I am grateful to all of you. I hope it brings you as much joy as it has me. And one last thing, sorry for boring the heaven out of you the last 20 years."
It's a little too late to "go out on top". But yes, get out before it gets any worse.

But I want to see the Hawks get their a SS es handed to them this year! Never thought I would utter those words, but if that's what's needed to get the captain out the door then so be it.
Sick and tired of this offense being a complete embarrassment and the constant handcuffing of QB's that come in here. No excuse for this joke of a system at this point. Thank God for Phil Parker as the defense did all it could to keep Iowa in the game Saturday, but once again KF just refuses to show any sign of creativity or deviation from his ancient philosophy.
RETIRE KIRK. Its TIME!!
Have you watched the last 10 years. This D is only good vs bad teams and never stop anyone when it needs to.

Kids across the country don't read articles about Iowa.

A lot of them haven't even heard of Iowa beyond the endorsement that their coach has given the program.

What about non-offensive recruits? I never mentioned a thing about the offense. I'm talking about the brand of the program. What about O-lineman and TE's. How's Iowa's reputation there?

Many out there are of the opinion that Iowa's offense is starting to build something. Led the league in rushing last season. You think that might interest RB's?
Iowa has never been a sexy offense. Yet they've always come up with enough talent to take the field.

Fans will always freak out

Rhodes is not a pimple on kf rear. Way different circumstances. Pollard had no choice. Plus if my is so great why isn't kf? Kf beats him more than he loses and even then it is one score game. So I can do it all day too.. how did firing their last 5 coaches before Rhodes work for them?

Now this I am agreeing with and this falls on the recruiting by the guys kf has hired.
Too many weak recruiters on this staff.
What you don’t like LaVar grabbing those token Iowa try hard kids
