I said this weeks, if not months ago: Brendan Sullivan should have been retained and been the starting QB this season. Sullivan showed his running skills last season, and he would have been even a better passer this season. He NEVER looked as bad as Gronowski has in any aspect of the passing game. And dump the damned Shanahan system. It's WAY too complicated, which is why nobody else in college football tries to run it. Lester is delusional if he thinks he can do something no one else can, and he keeps proving it every week. But it's ultimately KF's responsibility, and he's failed year after year after year after year after year. It's sickening, disgusting, embarrassing to see one of the best defenses in college football being thrown off a cliff because KF has no understanding of anything about modern offense. And worse, he doesn't care enough to do anything to actually change it.
KF needs to retire or be fired at the end of this season, and a new HC needs to be brought in, one with no Iowa ties, and one who understands it's both legal and advisable to have a competent, mobile QB who can pass and receivers who can catch. Everyone in the country already knows that except KF and Iowa.
