Lolol.. AND when Fry played the other 9 teams in the old Big 10 just WHO were the other really good teams? Do you know why they called it the big 2 and the little 8? There were no more really good teams then there are now, even just in the west. Wisconsin (until the last two years) has been WAY better then they were for most of Frys tenure. WAY better. NW many years has been much better then the teams Fry AND everybody else used to steamroll. PSU was added to the league and Iowa has played them MANY years and Kirks gone close to 50/50 against them. MSU had a really good run under Dantonio and we played them most years and split with them. I think if you actually look at the facts with out the Fry colored glasses you'll see Fry did certainly not play in a tougher big ten then the current league. WE won't even get into just how crap ISU was for most of Frys time as compared to this team under Campbell.Fry took over a wreck of a program. Put Iowa "on the map", so to speak.
KF is an average HC who accepts bland, average results. 27 years to catch Woody Hayes!
And as has been stated...being in the B1GWest puffs up his win total exponentially.
And for the record Iowa was pretty much a wreck when Kirk took over as well, as recruiting had really fallen off in Haydens last few seasons and yet in three years we made a run at a national title in 2002..
