She is visiting Penn St weekend.. for an official.. previously took an unofficial visit.
Thanks for compiling this! Very impressive list.Hawks have five big visits scheduled
Woliczko #6 - this weekend
Battle #42 - September 11
Krstevski #31 - October 17
Murray #50 - October 20
Lewis #19 - October 24
Hope McKenna gets thing kicked on a positive note and the dominos fall after that.
Go Hawks!
There is a method to the madness of the timing of visits. They feel good about winning McKenna's commitment. Once they have her on board, some of the others will follow. My understanding is that Krstevski is a friend of Addie Deal's, and Murray is Megan Gustavson's cousin. That should carry some weight with them. Barrett was recruiting Battle at GA Tech, and we all know Lewis, as the Iowa kid, has visited many times. I think Iowa wins the commitment of 3-4 of these players.Hawks have five big visits scheduled

You are correct sir, my mistake. I made the correction. Thanks for compiling this! Very impressive list.
I believe Murray is visiting September 20 if you would like to edit.
That would be amazingI think Iowa wins the commitment of 3-4 of these players.
If we get three, that would be bodaciously awesome. Two would is my guess and I'd be very happy. McKenna's decision will set the stage. There is a method to the madness of the timing of visits. 2027 recruit sets up some unofficials
Depends on which 3 they are honestly...That would be amazing![]()
As long as one is McKenna, any other two will make this Iowa’s best class ever, by far.Depends on which 3 they are honestly...
I reported the Iowa visit earlier this month. Not a bad group to take visits to, but it’s always hard to gauge actual interest from the school when it’s an unofficial. Out of those four, Iowa and Wisconsin have offered.
No one has said she isn't visiting.Five visits schedule and Bjorn is not on the list. That is telling and a bummer.
big UCONN leanNo one has said she isn't visiting.
Really wanted Bjornbig UCONN lean
That is not true. CC is the only recruit in her class who played meaningful minutes at Iowa. Lauren Jensen turned into a good player at Crieghton, Shateah Wetering was decent at UNI, and Sharon Goodman was a good teammate. Still, this year's class will be far superior if McKenna and two of the others visiting this fall pick the Hawks. That was my message.IF McKenna is one of them then yes it will be a great class, best ever? I dunno any class including CC prob going to be best Iowa ever going to get unless they get multiple top 15 recruits...
i have a buddy that knows the dadThat's what is rumored.

I'm not disagreeing.i have a buddy that knows the dad
I didn't say she wasn't visiting. I just said, she hasn't set a visit and the visit schedule is out until October 24th.No one has said she isn't visiting.
But she has not yet committed.i have a buddy that knows the dad
There is no visit schedule that is "out". It's just who has announced so far. It's not like Iowa releases a list of visitors.I didn't say she wasn't visiting. I just said, she hasn't set a visit and the visit schedule is out until October 24th.
Maybe. I think C. Vivian landed the #1 player in the country one year, Franthea Price, iirc.As long as one is McKenna, any other two will make this Iowa’s best class ever, by far.

Stringer coached 12 years at Iowa. She won 6 Big Ten Championships, went to a couple Elite Eights, and a Final Four. She won 79% of her Big Ten games. (She finished 2nd three times, 3rd twice, and 9th in her final season in her other 6 years). Bluder had some great teams with and without Caitlin Clark. But, Stringer’s record at Iowa was incredible and I think some people forget about it sometimes.Article on C Viv’s best recruiting class.

I’m convinced she would have won a national championship if her husband hadn’t died.Stringer coached 12 years at Iowa. Agree 100%I’m convinced she would have won a national championship if her husband hadn’t died.
No doubt about the history. I went to games when Stringer coached at Iowa. I was at the Ohio State game when they shoehorned more than 20,000 people into Carver. Those were fun times.I posted something similar quite awhile ago and someone mentioned that the Big Ten wasn’t as competitive/talented then as it is now. I don’t dispute that at all. Regardless, when you’re winning a Big Ten Title every other year on average (and finishing 2nd or 3rd when you don’t) that’s impressive in my mind.
Also, none of the above is meant to take away from Bluder and her career. Like I said she had some great teams and her last couple went further than any in Iowa history. Along with having CC who brought more to Iowa and the game than I have time to write here.
I guess what I’m saying is Iowa Women’s Basketball has a rich history that goes back many years. We’re fortunate.
She suffered heartache while at Iowa. First her daughter, then her husband. I fully understood her desire to get back east, closer to family.I’m convinced she would have won a national championship if her husband hadn’t died.
I forget, what was the deal with her daughter? She suffered heartache while at Iowa. First her daughter, then her husband. I fully understood her desire to get back east, closer to family.
Totally agree. She suffered heartache while at Iowa. First her daughter, then her husband. I fully understood her desire to get back east, closer to family.
