Thanks for the info.
Although i realize why, its interesting that Middlesex is a #3 and Lancaster Tied them. And Northumberland is a #6 and Lancaster had a 2-0-1 record against the indians. I'm not complaining, because i'd rather play Surry, but its interesting how the power points work, etc.
All these games Wednesday and Friday?
All good questions.
1) 1st round home for higher seed on Wednesday - winners travel on Friday to top 4 seeds who have a 1st round bye
2) Middlesex won a lot more games than Lancaster. Their big win in OT over # 2 West Point helped alot. Of course, they got 4 wins against Carver and Charles City...Sorry, but Charles City should not even count as a Varsity game. Middlesex beat them 21-0.
3) Northumberland won more games than Lancaster and played more higher level teams. I can assure you, Northumberland would love to play Lancaster one more time....1st must win the other tough ones which will all be battles except for the Surry game (8-0 most likely).
Who do y'all like advancing to the 2nd round?
I hate to say this but this year's Rappahannock is not as good as previous strong RHS teams. I wouldn't be surprised to see them "upset" in the regional tournament .Probably in the championship game .
Just my opinion after watching them twice when they played LHS. West Point or Middlsex wouldn't surprise me with the win .
Now that I've given RHS some bulletin board material, they could very well make me a liar. Which would be fine. GO NND!!!!
Can't wait to get it started
Rapp Raiders went 8-0 in the NND and outscored their opponents 36-5.
Rapp went 4-0 against the Tidewater and outscored their opponents 20-4.
The NND and Tidewater (I could easily argue) have the two best overall soccer districts in the state (not including CC from the Tidewater).
The only teams that came close to beating Rapp from the NND and Tidewater were Northumberland (1-0) and Middlesex (2-1).
Rapp recently defeated power Northampton 4-0 on the Eastern Shore.
