MA vs Tarboro for the Ship!

If MA gets it done, past championship game stats indicate it will have to be through the air. Of the last 5-6 appearances by Tarboro, the most net ground yards given up is 169. Usually it’s less than 50 and one year it was 0. Tarboro will run for 350-450 based on these same stats.

I think you can look at those stats over a 5-6 year period and draw some valid conclusions. One year, not so much.
Tarboro may have more size on the line but Mt airy has faced that last couple of weeks. Execution and least mistakes usually determines outcome with two good teams. Does Tarboro have good punter and kicker?
East Surry had 516 total yards which were 484 yds receiving against Tarboro's 345 total yards in their 2019 56 to 28 blowout of Tarboro.

CatScratchFever23 was talking like no one could put many yards on Tarboro. Just reminding him how badly East Surry beat Tarboro even though it was through the air. I hope it can be done on the ground and Taroboro has a bad year for a change. Who has beaten y'all as badly ?
Newton conover 2008 51-28. They had a really good running back. We were down 44-7 at one point. Also 2019 East Surry would have imo torched every 2a defense in the east that year as well. They truly were a once in a lifetime passing attack that is rarely seen at the 1a level. But they could not run the ball on us that night all their damage they did came through the air.

When Tarboro vs MT Airy in 2017. MT Airy fans didn't seem have that good of a turn out. I was assuming the entire town would be there. I guess maybe it was cold and snowing that day. Most of the MT Airy fans just stayed at home and watch it on tv.
Guys, I wasn’t trying to insult the MA team or fans, I was just making an observation. I didn't say MA couldn’t put up yards against Tarboro, just stated it would more than likey not be on the ground. The players come and go at Tarboro but Craddock remains the same. I am not a Tarboro homer (although I am impressed with their success) I just did a little research.

Well apparently it’s time for the posters from the west to turn their attention to the folks who support the team with multiple uniform combinations. You know the one. The team whose threads are started by them all year with occasionally up to three pages of “hope we keep improving” or “not sure what players are out this week”. Y’all know the guys who never bother anyone and stay in their lane (except for TarVikes who likes to lob a small grenade every now and then).
My point to this post, and yes I know I’m supposed to be in gym already, is these guys never say a bad word about anybody. Only time they bow up is when someone attacks their teenagers or misremembers how a game played out. They are as humble as any multi champion could be. Now this week, I’m sure there will be a few bandwagon posters who might go a little overboard but every successful team has those. They crop up like Whack a Mole then go away until the next successful run.

MA wore that Newton team out in scrimmage at Newton Conover that year and Newton won 2A that season. In live game situation it was like 28-0. Michael Dobson had 80 yard TD run 1 st play from scrimmage. I think this MA team is close to that team.

It was pouring the snow in MA that morning and very cold and was a 2:30 drive. Tarboro alot closer and no snow.
