Odds are he will be hit tinight!
From videos I’ve seen I think so too !! Keep Qb inside and bull rush him. If you give him to much time he will just throw the little dump passes all night. Bring pressure from different points and keep him guessing. If you can rattle him early and often I think you will be successful. They will not beat you with the run game. Offensively people have had success running up the gut. If you can establish the run game mixed in with short passing game you can take this game. Daaa Bears

We are playing basketball now but I will put my 2 cents worth. This happened around our 40 yd line and he took a pretty good hit. I seen this play after getting home and watching the game on demand. I noticed he lost his cool a little and it happened with two lineman also. If MA gets to the QB often and puts some big hits on him i’m just wondering if he can keep his composure and can the team as a unit stay together. Draughn has never been this far and at this level they will be tested. They won’t be the 1st Jr heavy team that’s got to Western Finals and emotions got the best of them. I’m going with MA by 21 being at home and have more experience at this point in the season ! Oh where is BigTimeEast. Oh yeah that is you 😂
Not sure where that come from but I guess your entitled to your opinion. Go wildcats

All kidding aside, I know there are some really good backs on the teams that Draughn has played this year. But I will assure one and all that they have not seen anyone that can stay with Mr. Mason and Mr. Reed. And If they concentrate on them Ian Gallimore and Freshman Martin will have a field day.

Why would they be out?
Just asking because of a rumor I had heard and I repeat it was a RUMOR !!! Therefore I will not repeat it. But it’s strikingly quiet on here compared to the chatter on last weeks game so i’m wondering if they are any truth to it. I guess we will find out after tonight’s game

But no one should ever repeat a rumor. The only reason I even posted it was the rumor was given to me by a person I have great respect for. I will watch the game tonight and I will be able to tell if they are players missing. Starters that is !!

0 players are out. We will field our full team and go at them the best that we can. Rumors are hilarious

Worse if key cats from Draughn are out!!!???

I think MA comes out fast and physical on defense. I think you'll see a lot of pressure on the QB, especially to begin with, with hope that the DBs can stay with the receivers. If MA DBs can cover the receivers and keep them out of sync, I think it'll be a long night for the QB. I just see MA on a mission and playing at home they have the advantage. Could be completely wrong, that's why they play the game.

I may be proven wrong wouldn't be the first time but I just don't see a larger margin than 14 by whoever wins.
I assume just looking at their stats that Mt Airy is like Andrews and Mitchell is a run first team may have the same plan as both to run the ball eat clock and keep Draughn's offense off the field and limit mistakes like turnovers and penalties.
Though it might not look like it because of the scores Draughn can be run on especially between the tackles Andrews and Mitchell both did but then made mistakes Mitchell self afflicted wounds like penalties and some questionable play calling that killed drives and Andrews beginning the second half went from a possible 21-20 go ahead drive to a int that turned into falling behind 28-14 which took them off their game and nether could slow down the Draughn offense and I'd say like Andrews the Mt Airy secondary will be tested the most they have this year.
If Mt Airy wins by a big margin then their running attack just steamed rolled Draughn and their D really showed up and probably Draughn got some unsportsmanlike penalties that hurt them.
If Draughn wins big then it'll probably be because like the Andrews Mt Airy made mistakes and gets a couple scores behind and wasn't be able to slow down the offense and having to pass more etc which Mt Airy does even less that Andrews or Mitchell and makes more mistakes trying to catch up.

If they blitz draughn that qb will eat will eat em alive
That’s what I’ve been saying. On the blitz the short passes and middle routes are open. Last fall when they played he was not a mobile QB. Time after time he stood tall and took hits not to mention he was only 6’4 147 lbs. flash forward a year he’s added muscle and the ability to run. A mobile 6’6 1/2 180 lbs that welcome blitzes on pass plays is a lot more Dangerous in my opinion.

Actually I would say in the three games I've seen him play that he's more accurate when moving around and passing on the run than just when he's able to drop back in the pocket and throw.
Obviously you know more about his game but I've seen high school QB's that sometimes over think it when they have time in the pocket and sometimes miss a pass but when they're running around their instinct takes over and make better throws.

I answered it on the last page....
Wow that is high!! I really appreciate that info! I know everyone talked on here last year about playing at the higher elevations and I wasn’t trying to stir anything. I just truly thought that state wide site with every stadium on it was really impressive! WV doesn’t have anything like that. I will say this NC does it’s football first class and you got a follower here in WV!!
Now do any of the teams ever saw playing at that Avery Stadium in challenging because of elevation? Or really no big difference? Thanks again!!

I agree. Just think about this for a second. This is week 15 of football and to only be sacked 4 or 5 times total this fall says a lot about the line and his instincts in the pocket.
