What round do they start using officials from outside the area? The sooner Murphy gets away from SMC officials the better.
Well that's wonderful. Murphy's season is over in 3 weeks then regardless. Even if the player errors are cleaned up and they play an A+ game there is 0% chance they beat Andrews at Andrews in the 3rd round with an SMC officiating crew, they literally won't allow it.
Andrews beats Murphy regardless last night fairly comfortably with the play on the field but the officiating was still an absolute joke, that's the truth. This is the worst season of officiating I've seen in this conference yet, way too many personal agendas at play in this league.

Were you at the game? Andrews had three touchdowns call back after the game was already well in hand for Andrews. Murphy wasn't in the game at that point the mometum, energy and fight was already long evaporated, it was an attempt to make it look less egregious in the box score. From the best of my recollection zero penalties called on Andrews when the game was still in the balance.
Doesn’t matter….. Andrews with no refs still wins that game by 2 touchdowns or more from what I seen last night. Yes I was at the game.
I said as much. Murphy had zero chance to win that game penalties or not with the quarterback play last night. But I'm telling you even if Murphy plays a perfect game in Andrews in 3 weeks they still won't win with an SMC officiating crew.
There was a huge difference in Murphy qb in Robbinsville game to Andrews game. HUGE
Yeah that's for sure and that's kind of my point even if the Robbinsville version of Murphy's quarterback had showed up last night I think they would have give Andrews all they want on the field but I still doubt they could have won the game with the it was officiated
All these complaints about officiating you are sounding like MA last year. Everyone said it is discipline problem. 4 turnovers will kill any team.
Well the thing is I've complained about the officiating this year even in Murphy's wins, it's that bad. Yes Murphy had five turnovers last night and it's impossible to beat a good team doing that but my point is even if they had zero turnovers I doubt the outcome would have been any different with the way it was being officiated.
Yes a few are indiscipline penalties but the vast majority are holding penalties negating big plays. Holding can be called on any play, its a pretty subjective decision. What would have been a 30-yard gain or a TD ends up being 1st or 2nd and 20 plus and then the drive is usually dead in the water.
Well it's bad everywhere because no one wants to spend Friday night getting harrassed by a bunch of ya-yas that barely graduated from high school and now are the worlds premier football experts.
I can handle bad officiating if it's universally bad for both teams, it sucks but it is what is. What I can't handle is officiating with an agenda and that's what you get in the SMC more often than not. And I'm not saying Murphy has never benefitted from it either.

So would the Mountain 6 teams or whatever that conference is say the same thing considering they use the same officials I assume?
Murphy should have had a lot more sportsman like and late hits last night if the refs would have threw the flag. I saw the umpire give about 4 warnings to 2 different players before they finally threw the flag in the second half
There was a lot of frustration boiling over. I'm not excusing it at all though, it's not acceptable.

You wouldn't happen to know who made the call on not letting Andrews parents come on the field after the game to get picks with their kids would you? I thought that was about the most classless thing I have ever saw!
I would argue it's not bad everywhere. Murphy played 2 games in Georgia and 1 in Tennessee this year and the officiating was awesome at those games. Maybe those states pay their refs better and/or train them better but there was a noticeable difference. And to be clear , I'm not saying the officiating changed the outcome last night because it didn't. Andrews won outright so congratulations to them.

Yep that's my biggest gripe, these penalty problems are/were not really a thing when Murphy played out of state. It's awfully "strange" that they're suddenly "penalty prone" when they play with Smoky Mountain Conference offcials but not elsewhere.
If that isn’t the truth I never heard it. But I will say I am undefeated from the top row of the bleachers on most Friday nights , never have harassed a ref , but never called the wrong play either ( just saying) . I think I should be a first ballot hall of famer

Amen !! That was Bullshiiit !! Conference Championship game !! I could say a lot about the penalties and late hits but not letting fans celebrate with their team was the most classless thing about the game.
One of the coaches asked the police if they could go back out and get a team pic in front of the scoreboard
Just taking the highschoolot last week prediction keeping what number plays what number the same and plugin in the where team official RPI ended up and the 6 conference champions which didn't change I believe the West should look like this...

Well other than anyone the ER would play with South Stanley dropping gave them a bye but if I had thought about it just have figured they would opted out makes since that they wouldn't just turn around and play the same team next week who beat them 41-14 last night. I'll make the edit
Was told the decision was made prior to the game to keep them off the field because a bunch of Andrews fans had threatened pregame to tear down the goalposts if they won. Again just what I was told.
In other news the NCHSAA has had the final RPI ratings since 10:30 and we still don’t have preliminary brackets.
