I tend to agree. I don’t know what the schools out west look like this year - but on Tarboros end I will say as of right now, there is no doubt they are better than they were last year by a pretty substantial margin.
That’s scary. As for Mitchell, they put up 42 on Erwin with the QB only running the ball 10 times. I think they are more versatile than last year. You gotta be able to pass to beat the Vikings.
Mitchell has a big target on their back this year and I'm sure Watauga would love to revenge a home lost last year on Mitchell's first home game on the new truf field. Watauga is #12 in the 4A West but they play #6 2A West, Maiden Friday so I guess they won't be looking ahead to the game just like I hope Mitchell isn't.

I spoke of those concerns after the Wythe Scrimmages. Was told that I was a Dumbass Idiot. But my concerns proved to be spot on. A North Surry team that I will assure you, your team does not want to play, capitalized on those areas of concern. But one of the best high school coaching staffs made adjustments, minimized the deficits, called the plays that allowed our assets to shine, and we won the game.
You’re funny. Don’t know whose teams you’re referring to but I assure you that most of the teams represented in this conference will play anybody on any given day. Swain, Robbinsville and Murphy have all feasted on teams that were in bigger classifications than them. Teams that on paper should win by 40, got that tail whooped by those 3 teams. I assure you Mt Airy isn’t the only 1a team that will show up to play East Surry. Don’t think the bears are special because of that.

Mitchell has 2 4a an 1 3a teams on their schedule. They aren't afraid of East Surry, and they certainly aren't afraid of North Surry lol. I'm sure our coaching staff would like another shot at the Cards, as a matter of fact. But I digress... Back to the curb stomping at hand,
LOL, Tarboro should be beating all 4A by now. Why, because someone is always saying Tarboro is better than last year every year. Who can beat them if they always get better than the year before? Tarboro fans are humble, and are honest in their self assessment. If they say the Vikings are better than they were last year, I'm inclined to believe them.
Lol I remember just about every Tarboro person up here last year saying we were vulnerable.
Just about everybody that was a Tarboro fan on this site said last fall that we were down by our standards last year. Even went on record saying if anybody was going to beat Tarboro last fall was the year to do it in the east. Last fall's team shows just how great tarboro's coaching staff is more than anything. And come on man you know good and well tarboro wouldn't beat those 4a school's in Charlotte like chambers and mallard Creek.

Hey smart guy I have said East wins by two scores. I said last year MA wouldnt win state bc of no discipline. I tell it how I see it. And can a fan on a damn message board about HS FB not brag on his team and the kids. MA has respect with alot of Tradition. Hell tell me last time they had a losing season.....look it up will be hard to find. We are MA!!!!!!
To be fair was 12-0 in 4 the qrt. #2 that contained outside edge got hurt and y'all ran to that side and scored easy.
MA offense is actually better than last year they will score 14 in 1st qrt. Defense is not as strong but offense can score in one play.
That was a really good Mount airy team. Tarboro offensively just did what their offense is designed to do, grind down a defense and deliver the knockout blow in the 4th quarter.
