Will be interesting to see how SWE offensive lineman handle NE’s front. They have 3 D1 guys on the D-line.
That's gonna be the best battle on the field. SWE has a very good oline all those kids are upperclassmen and know the offense and assignments just as good as the coach. Those lineman are like 5 coaches on the field.

Stopped raining in Tarboro about 12:30...must’ve been a special cloud over Pinetops ;)

Well I can say with 100% certainty that they did not have the sprinklers on today. I will not be there tomorrow but I will be arriving first thing in the morning on Friday. I will be keeping tabs all day LOL. I got messaged on Twitter from a Reidsville poster up here and they said that SouthWest Edgecombe definitely Waters down the field so be prepared

We have DII talent and an ECU commit on the OLine. I'm expecting that line to still be our advantage. I'm not worried about our offense moving the ball. I'm more concerned about stopping NE's offense.

That could actually work in yalls favor. I believe SWE has a major advantage over NE in the run game. It could be the difference in keeping NE offense off the field yet keep the clock moving. Long fields and long drives play into that and may not necessarily be a bad thing for SWE. So if you see those long punts...cheer! One, because you got NE to 4th down. Second, because a long field and killing clock will be a pretty good game plan to get the win for SWE.
I don't think SWE has won the time of possession since the Corinth Holders game. In all honesty, screw TOP, if it means we're scoring quickly.

I guess that guy made the trip ahead of time all the way from Reidsville like you made your trip and witnessed SWE wetting the field, huh? I wish they would get over it. They WON! But can't believe that they almost lost, so it must mean that SWE cheated! Sore winners! 10 years ago. Come on. And why is it that we haven't been accused of wetting the field any of the other 10 years since then? And seriously goob, what will you do if you saw us dumping a whole water tower on the field besides tell your coach to win more games the next time so y'all won't have to worry about it? We might not win the game, but we won enough to have the game at SoakWaterE. I might go piss on the field myself to make it as slick as possible.

You're missing one very obvious reason why yall haven't won the TOP since the Cornith Holders game. It's called the weak conference schedule with a running clock! Lol. NE will pose a different challenge. I'm pretty sure yall dominated the TOP last week with the all punts Whiteville did. SWE on the last drive to go up 45 was the drive that killed the clock and kept the ball out of Moss' hands. Consistent drives like that will cripple NE tomorrow night.

I understand the conference argument, but you contradicted it when you brought up Whiteville. They were awesome, yet they held the ball longer than us too. And their defense came in averaging 8ppg. For the most part, our offense made quick work of them too. They were the ones with longer drives. Same with 9-4 Northern Nash and 9-3 North Edgecombe. So I wouldnt necessarily agree that not winning the TOP was due to the competition in our conference, because it was the same way during the better non conference portion, and continued thru the playoffs so far. However, it might be a good idea to try to keep NE off the field. But then again, idk, because I think we will just have to try to outscore them, not stop them.

SWE has a decent O-Line but I’m pretty sure they haven’t seen a D-Line like NE. NE is huge and athletic up front. The teams that give NE problems are the teams that throw the ball all over the field. Offensively they can attack you in soo many ways. I went to the Rocky Mount game and they used a power running game to dominate them and completely shut their running game down. Then last week I hear they threw for almost 400 yrds. Outside of the Tarboro game SWE hasn’t played anyone.

Lol !!!! This is my favorite thread of all time! I was honestly hoping to see you guys wetting the field today while it was raining. I had to go to Wilson to pick up a car that's the only reason I was up there. I did stop by though and check out the field. Wet field or dry field it doesn't matter to us. These kids are winners, and our coaches are some of the best in the game.

Yeah, didn't happen. Reidsville beat a very good SW team that night. Truthfully, we had them beat. They converted in a 4th and 10, late in the game, and the rest was history. There's no doubt that game was for the state championship, and they pulled it out.

I was only saying the last offensive drive against Whiteville would be textbook on how to come away with the big W Friday night. NE has had issues defending the edges in the run game. I could see quite possibly you guys using the strength of the running game to control the 3 most important aspects of any football game. Moving the chains, controlling the clock, and taking command of the scoreboard. Of course taking command of the scoreboard trumps the other 2. This week it will take all 3. The Whiteville game was a perfect blueprint on what will work this week with "big quotation marks" on that last SWE drive late in the 4th in my opinion. I dont think the scores will come as quick this week like it has all season. You guys showed in that drive that you understand how to chew the clock up and it will be important this week.

Hey Bud, the team that you've seen in the past is nowhere near as good as the team that you will see Friday night. I myself have never witnessed such a dramatic change in a team during a season ever

That kicker for north eastern needs a scholarship to d1 after the punt he pulled off against havelock on the run and getting tackled

He made a spectacular punt out of the endzone running east/west with Havelock players all over him and it was a bomb!! He also kicked a 38 yard fg for our only pts.

Man, I'm anxious too! I don't care what kind of regular season you had, you are considered one of the big dogs for the season if you make it to round 3. It gets real now. Expect a packed house at SWE.

No disrespect to West Craven or Clinton but I think the winner of our game wins the east. I felt the same way two years ago when Northeastern played Wrh in the 3rd rd. We lost a close game in a shootout and Wrh absolutely destroyed Swo for the eastern c ship

I had a good talk with our coach last night and like myself he say he hasn't been able to sleep at all lol!
No excuses from me if we were to lose, Swe is a good team and aside from myself, coach, and our players no one is giving us much of a chance.

Everyone's in for quite a surprise. This NE team is head and shoulders better than the same team that lost 3 straight earlier this season. I can understand anyone who saw us play against Havelock doubting us, I would myself. Tomorrow night people will get a chance to see first hand what I'm talking about. All the talk about Swe great O Line but what people seem to forget is that we have 3 D1 recruits on our D line. Two of them will be returning next year along with our qb, top 10 rb in the country, and almost everyone else. I stand firm when I say I think we will win against a very good Swe team.
