You guys come here to vacation. That should tell you something. Everything between the mountains and the coast is trash. I wouldn't live there for nothing. We live in God's country up here. People want to live here. The flatlands are very depressing to live in unless you do not know any better. Yes you have more quality football players because of demographics alone. The funny thing is you act like Canton and Waynesville are on the middle of nowhere. Both are only 30 min or so from Asheville. Like I said keep your ugly land and pine trees and we will enjoy our beautiful mountains.
just don't let the rainbow flags from Asheville sneak over into your beautiful hills!

Jacksonville ? I don't live there. But you want to throw jokes around LoL crackhead? I live in Raleigh NC and own a doctor office. Yes i did graduate from SWO and so did my two sons, who sir I put through college? But I'm a crackhead, sir you are laughable. Stay in the mnt with the highest rate of metheads and women beaters and sex offenders if you want LoL. I bring my family up there once a year to a vacation cabin my son owns. We don't even go out into town because of the problems listed above. We love the woods and sunsets in the mnts. But boy would never live there. To each own I guess
It’s a good thing you own a “doctor office,” because the Lord knows you’d never make it as an English Teacher.

I've never been to this rivalry, but to say it isn't the best rivalry in the state if you haven't been I think is a bit short sighted. Gotta go experience it.

I really do not understand a guy from SWO coming here and saying the MTN teams are not good. If I am not mistaken, the Western teams have more than held their own in the 1A/AA State Championship games. So, they aint that bad!!

Well, there you have it. Wilmington #1 in the US in opiod addiction, and Jacksonville #12. Closest town to us is Hickory. Maybe you need to address the problems occurring where you’re from, instead of worrying about ours. Is SWO an actual high school, or is it a methadone clinic?

Just curious, what time do they open the gates for this game? Is it same as always or can people get in early? I'm not coming but I've always wonder how they handle EVERYONE in Haywood County coming to one place. Seems they would have to let people in at 3pm! :)

You guys are correct, hence the reason my family has never lived in Wilmington. Jacksonville has gotten rough and bite by the drugs of recent your right. One of the reasons I left in 2005 after both my one graduated and went off to college. But folks don't forget them back wood hillbillies are not saints, they just stay in the woods and arnt driving around to get pulled over LoL. Them small mountain towns are littered with drugs and sex offenders no doubt about it. But whatever makes you sleep better at night

Gates open @ 4:30 pm, but fans will be lining up by 3 pm or earlier, especially for the visitor side

So what you are actually saying is that our Mtn meth heads and drug dealers are way smarter than your down east meth heads, cause ours are harder to catch:p

Nice CC14, I thought that screen was the first play of the game. Crowd was unreal when #4 ran away from the entire Shelby team after a week of hearing Pisgah had no speed :)

Spoken like an idiot.
There isn't a street in Canton or Waynesville I would be concerned about walking thru or driving through. Can you say the same? I highly doubt it.

It's not the streets anyone is worried about. It's the mountains where people go to hike or picnic or watch a sunset or visit a waterfall I'm concerned about with my family. Take the blinders off Jr. Them mountains are full of redneck meth smoking sex offenders and if you don't know this, sir you must live under a rock.

sounds like you should stay in Raleigh.Seeing as you are afraid of your own shadow. You don't have a clue as to what is in these mountains mainly because you can't /won't remove your blinders and arrogance.Be well.

You are partially correct. A big majority of those people you are afraid of migrated here from the flat lands just like you do when you come. It's funny how that works. Man from Florida pulled his car over at a service station in Waynesville one time to ask directions. He approaches an old man in overalls sitting on a bench in front of the store and rudely demands directions. The old man just stares at him, and the Floridian says "there sure are a lot of ignorant people around here. " The old man looks him square in the eye and says "there sure are but fortunately most of them go back to Florida about October. "

Very true. And I personally believe that their influence has hurt Tuscola football. Postell does seem to be getting back some of their spirit. Our papermill feeds families and helps to preserve our way of life by keeping them out!

Guess no Great American Rivalry Series this year, just looked at the schedule and it's not one of the games listed.

Same thing we are hearing this year... no athletes and no speed. “They” will soon find out we have both

If you call what we seen against Murphy and Enka speed, then you are in for a rude awakening when you see even Hendo type speed. That 2006 Pisgah team had speed, multiple legit 4.5 guys this one, not so much. Wike is one of the, if not the fastest you have, and he isn't 100%.

So you are an expert, and went to both our games? And I am sure you have timed each player running the 40 yd dash? You don’t know squat about our speed.
