As far as our speed, I know we have at least 3 4.5 guys. I am sure that there are 2-4 more that are also 4.5, but I have not been able to confirm yet. One of our issues this year has been getting the ball to our skill players in space. I think that will improve as the season progresses

You have one, yes one legit 4.5 guy, do you not understand how fast that is? Walker ran a 4.9 Monday a 5.0, and these are major college bound guys, keep thinking you have all that speed, and like a lot of people keep telling you, you are in for a suprise. No one is saying this isn't a good team, people are just saying be a little more realistic.

So let me get this right, you have up to 7 guys who run a 4.5 40? Really? I would be surprised if we have 7 legit 4.5 40 guys in WNC. A 4.5 40 converts to a 10.87 100 meters. What is the 100 meter record at Pisgah? Last I knew, Greg Henson had it in the mid 80's and it was closer to 10.80 or 10.90. So you are telling me you have seven guys on the current team faster? James Martin, a two-time High School All-American at Tuscola has their record at 10.51, that would mean he was a legit 4.35 - 4.40 guy. Talk about the game all you want, but don't come on here spewing this complete fake garbage. If this is true, you will win the 4 x 100 in the conference by over three seconds in the spring. Support your team and be proud, but other than Reynolds and Hendo, no one has anywhere close to mediocre speed in the mountains. That is a fact.

I have no problem recommending Pursley. The guy did a good job and was a leader of men. Most of those players actually LEFT Waynesville and went to college. You will never hear me knock Pursley, he was a Hall of Fame coach who rebuilt the program after a JV coach. I appreciate what he did for the program. Also, the guy didn't mail it all in for one game and suck the rest of the year. He was consistent every year with mediocre talent. Been busy and haven't had the time. Not on here to start a pissing match, but just calling it like it is. Give me a score Pisgah Bears. What are you thinking?

I think you are low on the Pisgah score. I think 34-10 will be more accurate.
Only thing I don't agree with is the one game a year, Brett coaches up his team for that one game, and PHS does well after it, Tuscola coaches used to to the same thing, to him it was treated just as important as the rest of the games, and anyone who has ever been a part of this game on the field knows just how special it really is and its not just the same as the other games. Outside of last year, it was a conference game, i agree 100% on the rest though, and I have a ton of respect for Coach Pursely for what he has done during his entire career. That one game means a lot to a lot of people, including the kids, I mean I dare say you say someone like Doug Brooks thought or treated it like it was just another game, he would still be having that person running hills, through his entire retirement lol.
