Older Brother Tyus. I love how poised and composed this kid plays on both ends of the court.
I think he is the most important piece to this team. He’s smart, clutch, and a facilitator. Much like his brother.
He’s exactly what this team needs. But until he does what his brother did in the tournament, he’s not stones. Love him though.
He cams into the game with a 5 to 1 assist to turnover ratio but after tonight’s game he increased his assist to turnover ratio to 6 to 115 points, 5 boards, 8 assists, 2 steals, 0 TO... that is a great stat sheet if you ask me! Especially the 0 TO.. 6-10 from the field, 3-3 from the line, 0-2 from 3..
Depends on how the year ends. He wins a ship like his brother and puts up good numbers the rest of the year, then he’s probably gone. What are the chances Tre stays around for another year? I personally think, he does. Which will only make him better and develop more. Hopefully Tyus will encourage him to stay after even though Tyus was getting paid, he struggled his first couple of years.
Through 7 games:
Tyus Jones: 42 assists - 7 TO
Tre Jones (as stated above): 41 assists - 8 TO
I’d say that’s a great start to the season, like big brother had.
Against better competition too.
Just to remind everyone... Tyus DID hit a bit of a freshman brick wall for a while in his year, so if Tre does struggled a little, let's remember that.
