You are right, but I do think there is at least a little middle ground there. I think it is okay to be a little concerned with the indecisiveness. Duke is not an easy place to play, and it does not really work unless the player is 100% bought in (but if they are, great heights can be reached). I'm not saying Bolden isn't "all-in," I'm just saying some concern isn't necessarily unwarranted. I would certainly like to have him ultimately.

I completely agree, and I also agree when you talk about not wanting someone on your team that is that indecisive. I have posted at length about not wanting to ruin chemistry, having players bought in etc.

My issue was comparing it to hiring for a big position at a Fortune 500 company and dragging it out. I think that is a poor comparison b/c we're talking about 1 year of a 17-18yo kid.

I just find it strange that news breaks yesterday that bolden will be choosing his college choice on Tuesday (today) then pushes it back to Thursday. Marcus Lee, who is a big part in this situation, today announced he will cancel his workouts with NBA teams and returning to Kentucky is a possibility.... With all that said I still see bolden to Kentucky, but this is still a lil ironic... then again I look into things way to much!

Unfortunately we are not privy to all the information that goes on with recruits but it has to be more than just coincidence that Bolden announces a date and Lee announces the next day that he is forgoing his workouts. Lee has already decided what he is doing and Bolden (in my opinion) has been told what that decision will be. I think Lee comes back and this pushes Bolden to us. We will all find out very soon one way or another....this one has gone on longer than I would have ever expected.

He announced this morning:

I thought insiders were predicting Papa Johns! Oh well! Can't go wrong with either choice I suppose!

I remember my first few post here came when we were recruiting Lance Thomas and he went into April.

Lance was actually May 5th. The only reason I know this is because he committed on my birthday and I was in Jersey on business when it happened. It was a pretty big deal at the time in those parts because he spurned Rutgers (and also Arizona). People to this day still say he was undecided just minutes before he officially announced.

Well he went out a champion and has made NBA dollars despite being extremely limited offensively. Hard workers generally do well at Duke.

You know if we just keep this thread "Bolden announcement tomorrow " sooner or later he will announce tomorrow unless the old saying tomorrow never comes because tomorrow becomes today so does that mean he will announce today but that can't be so because he hasn't announced today. OFC

Has anyone talked to Gary from THR about this? What does he have for insight? Are his "sources" able to even be a "source" since it doesn't pertain to those holes over there?

Good god I hope that he's going professional in volleyball. I know you guys love bashing most things uk but let's be honest the only way plum lee is seeing the nba is if he's buying a ticket. He's almost as bad as lee

Last time I checked Marshall didn't leave early to explore the NBA career, get told he was the worst there, and then decide his next move. He graduated, did a grad year and has options at his disposal whether they be professional basketball or otherwise. So not sure what your point is here.

Miles Plumlee went first round. Hell your guy Jorts went relatively early in the draft (second round pick 45 to my Knicks) considering his wealth of skills. Size is a premium. I wouldn't be surprised if Marshall goes over Marcus Lee simply because he's 3.5" taller and considerably stronger and heavier. And he knows how to set picks.

Neither will likely be drafted....but I'm being honest here Adrian, if you and I play well in our pickup game this weekend we have as good a chance of being drafted as Lee.

This is true. Poor guy. He was thought of as a lottery type player when he first came out.

The scouts would cringe at your left hand....but they'd salivate at that pull-up jumper in the lane.

The jumper is sweet. Have you worked on rebounding out of your area. Last year they told you to go back and work on that.

Well, it's probably better for both not to be drafted because it opens FA opportunities. That said, I do believe Plum3 has much better pro prospects than Lee.

Cal is going to make sure he sticks it to coach K and Duke. He will do anything and everything to see that it happens!

Sky Bring the potted meat to food thread!!!

Because Wall2 probably doesn't read the food thread. He's trolling on the last post about Plumlee. Wasn't any purpose for that. He could have put that up in Rupp Rafters where it belongs. Wall is a troll and it's just a matter of time before he goes past that line. OFC
