***CC22 and the Fever mega thread***

Without CC it’s a prayer that KM goes off and others compliment from 3. NY now focused on shutting that down.
Crap, the Fever were playing so well and leading for half the game, but now they are cratering. 13-0 run by the Liberty. The Fever can't hit anything and can't stop them.
God dang, the Fever can't hit the ocean from the beach. Lexi just missed a gimme layup badly. Meanwhile, the Liberty are red hot.
This team has blown so many solid second-half leads this season. It's maddening.

This team cannot avoid the 10 minute stretch where they look like the lowest IQ ever.
When this roster is blown up…and it will be…the question is do you move on from both KM and Boston.
What a f'ing meltdown, jeezus. This team has a very bad habit of going to absolute sh** in the second half of games.
Howard really has to stop trying to play point guard. She sucks at it.
They are a .500 team without CC. I don’t know if that’s the actual percentage, but they are good enough to beat the lower tier teams and an occasional mid.
Every player disappeared in the 4th. Cant even be disappointed with just 1 or 2. Everyone played like ***.
Tell Howard to stop racing ball up court. Rarely anything good happens.
I don't think we'll be seeing a healthy 22 until next year. She'll be back on the court, but not healthy.

Even with a healthy CC they aren’t close.
It's hard to know if completely blowing it up is the best option when our star player hasn't even played in half the games.
You gotta replace the team with someone. On paper the Fever are deep, so not sure if there are enough good free agents available to make blowing it up worth it.
Good points. I just think fans need to avoid assessing the Fever in a vacuum. They have nowhere near the pieces to compete for a title. Players like Hull and Sophie are good 8-9-10 type players on a true contending team.
it starts with the core. KM and Boston in no way elevated this franchise. Worst team in the league. They have skills but major limitations when it comes to helping elevate the team.
You have to either blow it up and build around CC or let CC walk.
This roater is not one where you can just change complimentary pieces and move to the top

Boston was the rookie of the year. She’s gotten better every year and she’s in her 3rd year.
The shoes cost $190. She also gifted the Butler men's basketball team — where her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, is an assistant coach — with the shoes earlier this month.
Lets say each of the 3 teams got 20 pair (including coaches).

It's difficult to overstate what a disaster the Fever upgrade has been. All they had to do was resign Kelsey, replace NaLyssa, and improve the defense. The Fever already had the most exciting and lethal offense in the W. Yet, the coach and front offense screwed up the roster, installed a sluggish offense, nuetered Caitlin, and can't even play defense.
Somebody tell if there is anything they haven't screwed up.
Next year Kelsey walks and Howard and Colson get a year older. Will any free agents sign up to sink with this ship?
This can't be fixed without getting rid of the GM and coach.

I have to say it will be interesting on what Mitchell does, and what stars will opt to play with Caitlin. This year has been a mess - mostly because of Caitlin's injuries. If she's healthy all year and rolling, they probably have 4 or 5 more wins, which would put them in the thick of things. As it is, they are losing momentum and the same level of interest as the beginning of the year.
