I’m sure Ace has other friends than just JaMichael Davis.
You make it sound like he’s going to be sitting alone in an apartment just waiting for Davis to graduate in 2 years.
No, but his other friends might also be 1000 miles away from his NBA city. Five years from now 85 million or 100 million - so what? You're rich either way. Stay a kid kid for as long as you can.

Chow is delusional, this isn't like the 50s where you had to send letters and postcards in the mail to keep in touch. They use social media and video apps to stay in touch all the time.

You're right. I forgot about the giant reduction in social skills today. If I'm delusional why did you give me a "like" in my last post?

Flagg is such a unique competitor he is the ONLY one and done I could see coming back to try to win a championship

He also has the benefit that he is probably making enough in NIL deals and from duke that he would be willing to play another year

I imagine new balance is paying him quite a bit of money
New Balance wants him in the NBA, that is why they are paying a lot of money . . .

New Balance wants to sell shoes. With the unique attention he receives in college, they might be able to get as much bang for their buck if he stayed at Duke as opposed to playing for the Jazz or Wizards next year.

I wonder how mature the "college athlete basketball shoe" market it.
Young NBA fans are already all in on looking for and buying NBA player shoes.

How many college basketball fans are looking to spend $200 on Flagg's New Balances?

I don't know, but I'm sure New Balance has an idea. Cooper Flagg already has national commercials, his brand is out there and the young NBA fans know who he is. If he were to come back, I suspect he'd get as much attention playing at Duke as he would as a rookie on a bad NBA team. Figuring out how that translates to New Balance's bottom line is why their execs get the big bucks.

You could also go with the theory the nba doesn’t necessarily want him to play for the jazz or wizards and try to milk it another year mutually

For the conspiracy theorists

The withdrawal deadline is after the NBA Lottery.
Nothing stopping Flagg from declaring then "changing his mind" after seeing who gets the #1 pick.

Would be quite the story if he pulled that.

Coming soon to a theater near you, two-way contracts between college players and the NBA, courtesy of sneaker companies who run both leagues.

Knueppel leaving means Duke is less likely to win it all next year, and Maluach will leave too, so no, Flagg will absolutely not stay at Duke to try to win it all. Further, there’s unnecessary injury risk. Preposterous notion that he’s staying in school.

Heard from a Bloomberg news outlet that Flagg has already left Duke FWIW.

It's interesting to see him not wearing the shoes of the company that sponsors him.

But but what about "unfinished business" and "being a kid"?
What about the interview 2 months ago that was completely misinterpreted?
