College Basketball 2025
Still love it?
Come on. No one loves it. It needs to be fixed. Unfortunately it’s not happening quickly. It’s just never going back to the old way. The NCAA and universities were greedy for far too long. Now it’s too much change too quickly.College Basketball 2025

I don’t like Rutgers without a president and AD. We are always behind the curve.Come on. No one loves it. It needs to be fixed. Unfortunately it’s not happening quickly. This . It’s amazing that all these people just want to whine about how much the sport sucks , but they are still flocking to the rac or glued to the tourney games.I still love college bball. This doesn't bother me. Attendance at games across the country is great and ratings are well. Sport is doing fine.
I really can't stand what happened to the sport that I enjoyed so much. In the past, players would consider staying when there was a coaching change, because there was something about having loyalty the name on the front of the jersey rather than only caring about the one on the back (to borrow a movie line).
At this point, it's not about either.... It's about the name on the check. You could say the same about the fans.
A lot of posts saying "It's about the name on the front not the name on the back. Players have no value without the team."
But then people seem sure up in a huff when the names on the back change.
What does this mean ?At this point, it's not about either.... It's about the name on the check.
One of the attractions of college sports (at least for me) was rooting for players that chose to play for my alma mater. Watching them develop. Watching them represent my university. I had an interest in the person. The way it’s headed now I couldn’t care less about the player. There’s no connection. Especially basketball. At this point, it's not about either.... It's about the name on the check.
Don't get me wrong, I still love college basketball and support it by attending games and watching hundreds of them during the season. This . It’s amazing that all these people just want to whine about how much the sport sucks , but they are still flocking to the rac or glued to the tourney games.
Yeah , but that’s real life .Don't get me wrong, I still love college basketball and support it by attending games and watching hundreds of them during the season.
However, just like husbands piss off their wives (and vice versa) and children piss off their parents (and vice versa), it doesn't mean they don't love and support one another.
It means that it's about the payouts. What does this mean ?
Yeah …so. ….It means that it's about the payouts.
Your family, your religion, and Rutgers basketball.... These days more like your agent, your bank account, and whoever is signing the checks.
Already given up my season tickets, and reducing my football tickets. Those might go entirely after next season, too.Yeah , but that’s real life .
This is entertainment. If people don’t like the entertainment , they can just choose to spend entertainment dollars elsewhere . It’s getting old listening to people whine about how much they supposedly don’t like the sport, but yet they are still here. No one is forcing them to be here . Just walk away
We often place ourselves behind the curve by dumb decisions. See recent AD for ex #1I don’t like Rutgers without a president and AD. We are always behind the curve.
Not sure this analogy holds up...However, just like husbands piss off their wives (and vice versa) and children piss off their parents (and vice versa), it doesn't mean they don't love and support one another.
Indiana will love it if they pull the same thing in the portal that they did with the football team.
How much eligibility does she have left? Not sure this analogy holds up...
Are you saying that if your spouse shopped around to get more $ in a different family & left you & your kids that you would still love the current environment?
It needs some fixes. Need 2 year contracts. One time Transfer. 20mm cap on NIL. Only 2 outside contracts per basketball team.Come on. No one loves it. It needs to be fixed. Unfortunately it’s not happening quickly. It’s just never going back to the old way. The NCAA and universities were greedy for far too long. Now it’s too much change too quickly.
Yup we are not only behind the curve but we are in a total sports status quo for a year where zero is getting done and zero is going to happen which of course puts us further behind the curveI don’t like Rutgers without a president and AD. We are always behind the curve.
Arkansas started with zero players this year too and look where they got!! Amazing what a name coach and millions of dollars will do!!College Basketball 2025

Everyone says everything is fine untilI still love college bball. This doesn't bother me. Attendance at games across the country is great and ratings are well. Sport is doing fine.
Hate to break it to you but it was more likely the NCAA’s more stringent transfer rules back then that kept these teams together. If they could transfer and play immediately back then it would have gone tits up just as fast.I really can't stand what happened to the sport that I enjoyed so much. The ncaa tournament is having its best ratings in several years whether you think everyone hates it or not the general public is watching it more than they had beenCome on. No one loves it. The thing I hate most is the age of the Cinderella is over forever. Look at Belmont, they lost players to Maryland and Ole Miss who made key contributions to those schools. You won't see it again, as any team with a good player will quickly lose him.The ncaa tournament is having its best ratings in several years whether you think everyone hates it or not the general public is watching it more than they had been
The fan bases of the top 50 programs dwarf the next 250 combined. They’re loving this. The only ones who love Cinderella are the have nots, which we at RU squarely are. This isn’t going to change back. The thing I hate most is the age of the Cinderella is over forever. and a quick google of who might leave the Mountaineers to follow their coach ( if the money is right) found thisLikely means that Indiana will win the BIG championship next season
Shelby is more detached than PMike. It’s entertainment, win or lose. And he’s not a homer. Across the country some players are good and some are bad…and that applies to Rutgers players too. Blind adulation compromises objectivity.Don't get me wrong, I still love college basketball and support it by attending games and watching hundreds of them during the season.

Can she shoot the 3?How much eligibility does she have left?
Exactly. All of the NCAA's stringent and often draconian rules concerning player eligibility, player movement, and player compensation created the world that people are now romanticizing.Hate to break it to you but it was more likely the NCAA’s more stringent transfer rules back then that kept these teams together. If they could transfer and play immediately back then it would have gone tits up just as fast.
