Sure, no one expects us to become OSU, Michigan, PSU or USC. But is 6 or 7 wins the goal? Does last year’s 6-6/3-6 justify 2 more years added to the remaining 4?

UNC and WVU fired their coaches. Compare their records to Schiano’s and then tell me why Schiano is still here ? And you can’t say ‘the length of the contract’ because he never deserved it in the first place.

So go ahead, explain. Chris Ash LOL ?

This isn’t about OSU, etc. This is about lower standards than all other programs, especially other similarly mediocre programs. Even those programs aim higher and don’t tolerate average. We do.
You are a moron… Eveyone knows you are a Cuse fan, stir the pot and have your head so far up you ***. STFU already…

We had an ungodly amount of injuries you jackass and will be 8-5 this season after a bowl win. That’s progress and CONTEXT for this year. Next year… We will be even better.

Please don't engage the moron in this this thread. By engaging it, the thread gets derailed. If people ignore it, it will go away.

Dear Idiot,

Better next year LOL. Haven’t looked at the schedule, huh ? This year Didn’t play any of the top 4, only 1 of the top 6 or Michigan. Next year we play 3 of the top 4 this year plus Iowa. And Minnesota, Illinois and Washington on road. You’re looking at 4-5 wins only if we sweep OOC.

2024 Wins: Washington, Minnesota, Michigan St, Maryland LOL. Not terrible but not impressive either.

Next year the schedule won’t be so soft. And we lose our best player. No shot at a better year. None. Not with this coach.

Frankly, you have no clue if you think we will be better next year.

This one is surprising to me considering the acrimony the UCF fanbase had toward Frost after he left.
He definitely left them high and dry (not that I blame him, he grew up in Lincoln and played for Nebraska), but given their lack of success lately, I’m sure they just want someone to bring them back to prominence

Not sure if it will come to fruition, but WVU interviewed Rich Rod. The Wikipedia entry for Rich Rod says that a 2013 public poll said 47% of West Virginia voters still had an unfavorable opinion of him, with only 11% seeing him favorably.

Wins forgive old sins.

The big boosters prefer RichRod so he’s got that going for him. I think the diamondbacks owner Ken Kendrick and McAfee and others.

Ran into a guy walking through my neighborhood wearing WVU gear who I had not previously met. He laughed about Rich Rod and mentioned another possible coach whose name I did not recognize or do not recall. Have no idea if this guy is in the know, but I jokingly said to him that Don Nehlen is 88 and available.

Seems it is between Rich Rod and Kotelnicki? This guy is purportedly a WVU writer:

And a couple of guys who have very few followers:

Not too impressed with what Belichick has done without Tom Brady.

Would certainly be interesting.

The fact that RichRod hasn't been named yet makes me wonder if they're waiting on someone else as well. Monken at Army is another name connected here. Portal is open and it's an important time to try to staff and players on board etc..

There goes my pick on who will be WV's HC in 2025
I think it’ll end up being RR or Monken. No reason to wait on a RR hire unless someone else is still in the mix and Monken’s season isn’t over yet.

Also sounds like there’s a sort of a power struggle going on at WVU just like UNC.

WRAL noon news broadcast just now indicating UNC and Bill Belichick are very near to announcing an agreement whereby BB becomes the Cheats new HC.
