The Sewershit fans are quickly coming to the realization that:

- A guy who was never a coordinator may not be ready to be a head coach
- Hiring coordinators who never actually called a game as coordinators isn't the smartest move in P4.

I didn't even get past the 1st page of that thread because you can see how karma bit those losers hard in the ***.

Couldn't happen to a better bunch of turds. At least they have their long running Rutgers where they can make delusional comments thinking they are better and cry about Greg being shady...lol.

This….so much this! They hired a guy as HC who never called a play in his life….and then they doubled down and hired 2 coordinators who also haven’t called plays at this level. And they’re surprised?

I love the hubris of that friggin “school.”

The main beef was what Syracuse did on defense when Stanford had a 4th and 9 near midfield
Cuse had one defender on the best Stanford receiver and did not blitz the qb either
The receiver got the first down and Stanford was in field goal range from that point on

That's only one play. Didn't see the game but I'm sure there were plenty of others that contributed to the loss.

That certainly was a bizarre defensive call. On 2nd & 3rd downs they blitzed up the middle and disrupted the pocket. 4th and the game, cuse rushes 3 drops 8...but single man coverage on Furd's best receiver with safety playing centerfield. What? Was cuse expecting a deep post to end it right there? So silly.

They thought they had the secret for success. Hire coaches without any real experience. They may have only have two more wins this season against U Conn and Holy Cross for a 4 win season. Possible loses to UNLV, NC State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Cal, and Miami. If Cuse is lucky, they might win one or two more to get to 5-6 wins for the season. Their fans are delusional but fun to watch.

But but but....so many said this was a great hire because of his "alleged" recruiting prowess and he'd be a problem for Rutgers.

At some point people will realize coaching matters.

Fun watch.
SU is 2-1 with a win over a top 25 team so hardly a broken season as yet
And they play holy cross next week. They need to up their competition if they want serious consideration for anything.

Fran's using this as a stepping stone job
Cuse never was, nor is, and never will be, a destination job for any head coach of any sport, sans lacrosse

Boeheim is a Central NY native
He is ok with 9 feet of snow in April and 354 days of cloudy weather
Most rational humans are not good with that

Cuse will be left in a watered down ACC/Big East/American conference type setting once things are all said and done

Yes, but in most seasons, with or without Fran, Cuse would lose to Pittsburgh, Boston College, Miami, NC State and VT Tech. They don't have a good offensive line or a good defense.

It’s sad when the announcer knew exactly how they were going to be beat pre-snap.

Far too early to judge the team or the coach, especially on one bad play. Who remembers early in the 1.0 era when we went all out to block a WVU punt and left their right-side punt cover guy all alone. Punter noticed and tossed him a pass for an easy long TD.

I think you guys are being a little tough on the Syracuse fans. Not. Bwahahahahahahaha! Having said that, I do think Brown is going to be successful there, especially with Clemson and FSU being down.

Exactly. This loss was most meaningful for them because they would’ve had a good chance to crack the national rankings with a win and given Cuse some media attention and hype. Now make no mistake - that would not have been because they are a great team but rather because of the FSU situation. Somehow teams that beat FSU are regarded highly for it still.

Regardless - losing this one puts Cuse in a position where it’s much harder to climb into the rankings because they don’t play anyone. To be fair - I’m not sure Stanford is as bad as some of our fans are making them out to be either. Their D looked solid - especially against the run.

When Schiano was putting together the staff here, fans were dying to get Robinson, He being a reportedly great recruiter

We wound up, on the other side of the ball, with a not experienced enough offensive coordinator

Sometimes you have to work things out over time

I think Stanford got really pissed off when they got off the plane and realized that the frozen tundra was part of the ACC.
Got worse when their bus pulled up to the dome.

In the first half the announcers linked Fran with Greg and closed by saying how he is now recruiting over him in NJ. The gaslighting was truly amazing to hear.

Did not see the play in question that set up the FG but it seems these Cuse fans have valid concerns. If that happened in a Rutgers game we'd sound a lot like them. Come to think of it, those board looked a lot like that in GS1.0 When GS would send the house on 3rd and 20+ and the O would convert into 1 on 1 coverage.
