I was thinking of Musial, though Williams & Musial played a 154 game schedule.I might throw Ted Williams into that group.
Always nice to see an ex-Met on the list.I'm going to throw in one of the greatest players in history that no one ever talks about: Rogers Hornsby
All old Mets fans will recall that Ralph Kiner was a big Chuck Klein fan. Always talked about what a good player he was.Chuck Klein did it with the Phillies.
Didn’t he (Klein) hold record for most RBIs in a season? Will have to look it upAll old Mets fans will recall that Ralph Kiner was a big Chuck Klein fan. Always talked about what a good player he was.

DiMaggio only played in 139 games in 1941.I googled the answer because I was curious. I won't give it away, but it is noteworthy that DiMaggio is NOT on the list despite hitting safely in 72 out of 73 games in 1941, For the balance of the season, he would have only needed 63 hits spread over 82 games but didn't get it done.
I have to admit, I was surprised by one of the guys on the list. The other four weren't necessarily easy guesses, but if you know baseball history, they made sense.
I did the same. Interesting question, not sure there would be a way to try and figure out the answer without just knowing it. Seems like it would be a lucky guess.I googled the answer because I was curious….

Hitting machine with Sox, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s oneI’d replace Rose with Boggs.
Scroll down to the section in dark green. What's the final answer??
Jeter was also the guy that surprised me the most. The others didn't surprise me at all.The guy who surprised me the most was, as a Yankees fan, was Jeter.
People were making a big deal about the 154 games season. Look at the hits before the change. I'm surprised that anyone was thinking the downside of less games.
Know you don't agree, but would still like to see him in the Hall.Bill Madlock
ZeroSorry I wasn't around to post the answers but I see someone did. Hornsby, Klein, Boggs, Jeter, Ichiro are the five.
How about this one. What is the lowest number not retired by any team? Can also be phrased as lowest number available on all 30 clubs
