Miami? They share a weight room with all their teams and it’s not even that big. Went on a visit there as well. Forgot about Clemson as well. Their facilities are sick.

The ambiance of the facility. No one who has visited Marylands facility and ours is going to say they prefer the bubble, imo.

Furthermore, it’s an integrated facility that has everything in one place, which promotes efficiency.

The proof is in the pudding and they have been able to recruit better players than we have, thx in large part to that facility.

Miami will soon have the best facility money can buy, and their facility is going to be competitive with anything else out there.

I expect our Fieldhouse to be similar. We are a big ten program. We should have similar facilities to everyone else in the Big Ten.

Johnson Park on River Rd. has unlimited space for tailgating. Get the Govenor to impose his will to allow its use for 7 days out of the year. Build a pedestrian bridge over River Rd in the form of 2 castle turrets with a bridge. Reseed every Spring its just grass not a sacred burial ground.

This has always been the most correct and simple answer. This will fix so many problems and the pedestrian bridge makes too much sense that rutgers would never do it sadly. And also should be bringing back the alley for even more student involvement every contender big ten school has an area close to the stadium the students can tailgate at and not be bothered, another important point of game day experience. Season ticket holders should really write a letter or something. While I’m here on the subject of game day Experience the entry process and concession lines need to be improved.

You raise a good point about ND's facilities and the weight room distance. Rutgers has a choice here- cater to making everything as easy as possible for the football team and eliminating at least a portion of the best tailgating parking Rutgers has at the risk of alienating season ticket holders and donors. Or find a middle ground that works for all stakeholders.

Rutgers would be wise to have some sort of a town hall with the stakeholders--the coaches, major and mid-level donors who utilize the Yellow Lot, former players, an architect, the company that does most of the building of Rutgers facilities, etc. to have an open forum to consider options, exchange ideas and come up with a solution that works best for all parties. Our multi-year commitment will be done in another 2 years or so. Eliminating a significant part of the yellow lot will definitely give us pause about whether we want to continue to donate.

But this is Rutgers, and things don't usually work this way. They will f it up in more than one way.

Rutgers can't do anything. Middlesex County owns that Johnson Park. It's not Rutgers property and even it's use on Game day's has to go through Middlesex County which Rutgers pays handsomely for its use.

Agreed. Read an article referencing the arms race in college football and mentioned Clemsons field house. I can't seem to find it now but if I do will post. That said the "full team" used the field house less than 20 times the entire year. The field house was mainly used for pre season workouts by specific position groups and rehab situations. I know people will say southern state versus northern state. So double that for the north.

I do think the field house will be beneficial and needs to be built, but it will not be utilized as much as people claim it will. It is a shiny new toy that will have to renovated every 5 years and replaced in 20.

Yes tradition of success is important too, but the quality of our facility is something we can actually control. Recruits are impressed by shiny toys and Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State have many of them, which is why they significantly outrecruit us.

Throw up the facility and increase NIL, and we will significantly close the gap.

If you break the conferences into thirds. I think starting next year there are like 74 teams in the B1G. As long as we are in the second grouping we are fine.

We are a Big Ten program which gets BTN funding on a par with the ACC and a donor base on a par with the AAC. That is a joke. We don't raise money now from our season ticket holders. Minus the few donors who contribute real $$, I would be our yellow lot folks donate a measly amount compared to our competitors. We have had the cheapest donors for 50 years, no way should they get a voice. I am positive the Towers
