Thought she was kind of manly-looking? Nothing wrong with that, just sayin'? Yeah, I did better!!!I always liked the first verse.
Did you have a crush on Stephanie Seymour as a young Bac?

Is Slash still in the band ?Has anyone caught Duff McKagan's show on Sirius/XM? He has some good insights, but his wife is his co-host and steps all over him and never shuts up.
Guns just announced a tour with local dates.
Is Slash still in the band ?
What happened to this guy's voice ?
I like the guitar solo.Used to like to play this one at RU bar jukeboxes, because you got your monies worth. I like how it starts to rain, guy jumps into wedding cake for no apparent reason, then right to the funeral scene. I like a storyline that moves along.

You never heard that song before ?Not sure I ever heard that song before and I couldn't listen all the way through. An entirely forgettable and boring song.
Correcting myself...I love Slash's solo on that tune.I like the guitar solo.
I might have heard the start at some point in the past and switched to another song quickly. It's not interesting to me. I like lots of CSN/Y, but not that particular song. You never heard that song before ?
Is this your first day in this country ?
Interesting list here (only agree with perhaps Wonderwall-many seem like power ballads):I will throw my $.02 into this. I think this is a good song. In no way do I consider this one of the “greatest rock ballads ever written”. If you could put a list of greatest rock ballads together, I don’t think it would be in the top 30 or so. I think the Beatles alone would have up to 5 or 6 tunes in the top 30 ballads.
Estranged off UYI2 was a better ballad, imo.I will throw my $.02 into this. I think this is a good song. In no way do I consider this one of the “greatest rock ballads ever written”. Just off the top of my head:Interesting list here (only agree with perhaps Wonderwall-many seem like power ballads):
1. “All Apologies” by Nirvana
2. “Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones
3. “November Rain” by Guns N' Roses
4. “Keep On Loving You” by REO Speedwagon
5. “With Or Without You” by U2
6. “To Be With You” by Mr. Big
7. "Come Sail Away," Styx
8. "Changes," Black Sabbatth
9. "Wonderwall," Oasis
10. "Hey Jude," The Beatles
Rolling Stone has
Hey Jude, Freebird, Black (Pearl Jam), Let it Be, November Rain, Wild Horses, Something, and Stairway to Heaven.
Wild Horses- sure. Black is good. Let it Be and Something- sure.
No doubt about it.Estranged off UYI2 was a better ballad, imo.
That's a great list.Just off the top of my head:
Yesterday - The Beatles
In My Life - The Beatles
Let it Be - The Beatles
Bridge Over Trubled Water Simon& Garfunkle
Sound of Silence Simon & Garfunkle
American Pie - Don McLean
Angie - The Rolling Stones
Take It To The Limit - The Eagles
Cats In The Cradle - Harry Chapin
Knocking on Heavens Door - Bob Dylan
Melissa - The Allman Bros Band
Unchained Melody - The Righteous Bros.
Imagine - John Lennon
In my Room - The Beach.Boys
Many , many others.
It was one of the biggest hits from the biggest band in the world during 1989-1992 period. Not sure I ever heard that song before and I couldn't listen all the way through. An entirely forgettable and boring song.
Great song but like you I remember the video. I also loved slash getting pissed at the wedding for whatever reason, and he walks out of the massive church to solo, and he's in the desert with the tiny building.Used to like to play this one at RU bar jukeboxes, because you got your monies worth. I like how it starts to rain, guy jumps into wedding cake for no apparent reason, then right to the funeral scene. I like a storyline that moves along.
There have been plenty of hits over the years that I found boring and entirely forgettable. Many of my favorite songs are among the least popular on the albums from which they came.It was one of the biggest hits from the biggest band in the world during 1989-1992 period.
But it all makes sense, since it's just part of Axl's nightmare.Great song but like you I remember the video. I also loved slash getting pissed at the wedding for whatever reason, and he walks out of the massive church to solo, and he's in the desert with the tiny building.
Same here. There have been plenty of hits over the years that I found boring and entirely forgettable. Many of my favorite songs are among the least popular on the albums from which they came.
I’m just not particularly well-aligned with what‘s popular in general. I march to the beat of a different drummer.
I know who Linda Ronstadt is, but never heard of that band. Named after the venue, I guess?Same here.
BTW, perhaps you're more familiar with a song by the Stone Poneys...A Different Drum.
There's a chance you've heard of the vocalist in the band.
