As disgusting a performance in every facet as I’ve seen from this program in 5 years. Pike included. He had nothing tonight. He’s not beyond reproach. We should be confident this bunch is gonna go win a road game on Sat?

Lot of players yelling at each other on the court. Paul, Caleb and Cliff. Our leaders and upper classmen. Bad look. Bad sign moving forward. Interesting to see how they respond on the road.
The most immature “older” team I’ve seen. Its between their ears…Paul’s complaining, Caleb body language, Cliff complaining. It’s head scratching

I'm not gonna miss Caleb and Paul. Time to move on.
Yes, but without Caleb, Paul and Cliff next year, It will be a very thin roster. Not looking forward to a team consisting of Reiber, Palmquist, Woolfolk, Simpson, Hyatt and Mag. And nobody yet knows how Griffith will adapt to the Big Ten.

There was a lot of bickering on the court today. Cliff and Hyatt / Paul and Cliff / Caleb and Cliff.
Could have been inadvertent but early in the game , Caleb froze out Cam when Cam was begging for ball for a 3.

Dean and Oskar are unlikely to both be here. Wouldn't be surprising if both left

Even if they both are on the roster, they won't be in the main rotation barring injuries

Griffiths Davis and Ndongo is a very nice infusion of talent and athleticism

Yikes. Didn’t even think about this. Wouldn’t be the 1st time in his career. I just thought at the time he missed him. I am still going to hope he missed him.

What do you expect during a performance like this?
Honestly I do not expect them to yell at each other. Unacceptable behavior in my opinion. Losing can show true colors sometimes. Last night really bothered me watching them yell at each other, blame each other, and that caused a lack of effort and intensity at times.

This is a look in the mirror moment. This team can go in two directions.

A team dependent on defense faced a opponent that knew how to handle Rutgers full court press. They also had multiple 3 point shooters and quick guards that Rutgers had difficulty defending. On offense Nebraska limited the number of shots by Cam and Cliff.Caleb scored 12 points but took too many shots.Paul scored two points and played over 30 minutes.Hyatt was the only player with a pulse on offense scoring 24 points. The lack of bench scoring has been a problem for two years. This is a experienced team that requires collective productivity because of the lack of go to scorers.Players are unhappy and are blaming each other for what is happening on the court.

Pike is widely praised for his "even" emotional tone. But, at times, this works against him so it seems. When he has emotionally reacted ie. like getting a T - it actually worked - in getting team fired up & shifting gear. Last night this team needed directed aggression and fire and the team's emotional linchpin/cheerleader (PM) was MIA. Seems coach was a bit MIA as well.

It happened last year with Jaden Jones. I hope Caleb just missed Cam twice. I actually think he just missed him because i have seen ZERO signs of ANYTHING between the two of them.
I’m not even sure I believe this (when did it happen?) but Jaden Jones is not Cam Spencer.

I get the yelling. Hate that it happened but I understand it. It is a sign of desperation. What started out as a fantastic season with some potholes that they quickly drove out of.. this team has not had a 3-game losing streak.. it has a 2-game.. Miami and SHU.

Additionally, like we looked at the remaining schedule from time to time and counted future wins/losses to arrive at a final count and what that meant for NCAA Tourney sending.. these guys have seen those projections.

This team may have just played itself onto the bubble. That's a lot of pressure, especially from where we started. If we play like that the rest of the year we'll be lucky to beat Minnesota. They know this.

The formula to beat Rutgers is to beat up guys in the key.. like Cliff.. push them around. And hit threes.. drive to dish. More players on Nebraska were able to drive into the lane. It was crazy. And while we have Cliff inside.. we routinely saw more than one defender elevate to try for a block.. making it easy to get an easy shot with a fake or pass. Crazy stuff.

The way we play.. we are not going to beat teams hitting near 50% from three. We don't score enough for that.

After Temple and SHU and Purdue, it was pretty clear that this team can beat anyone.. and this team can lose to anyone. And maybe Mag was much more important than most thought... maybe it was not just about his play.. but his personality as well.

The big picture question right now is what players have shown significant performance improvement from the beginning of the B1G Ten schedule to the present? My answer is Hyatt and Mag if he was still playing. The rest of the team status quo or worse.
