Wow, what an unbelievably bad take.Who?
You can cut and paste that response for all transfers.Wow, what an unbelievably bad take.
This is what pike said about him:
“Eugene has been a dedicated and valuable member of the program who exemplifies the qualities of a Scarlet Knight. Eugene’s contributions on the banks have been immeasurable”
So you’re saying they’re all great? You can cut and paste that response for all transfers.
Same here - loved how hard he played and how much he improved. Was hugely disappointed he left, but it worked out ok for both and while I certainly care less about him after leaving RU, there's a big difference between that and the infantile responses above. He was my favorite player until he defected. I don't have animosity toward him (as some on here do), I just don't care as much about his career as I would have had he stayed.
until he ran awayWow, what an unbelievably bad take.

Yup. He is the one remembered for helping getting RU over the humpYeboah was a heck of a consolation prize.
Coach speakWow, what an unbelievably bad take.

Fire Pike immediately.Wow, what an unbelievably bad take.

Eugene helped start the turnaround . I will take pike at his wordCoach speak
Helps Pike and program that he can point to having a role in developing EO into an NBA player.Coach speak
I think Cliff is a good case in point also.Helps Pike and program that he can point to having a role in developing EO into an NBA player.
He will never be a legend at Rutgers because he transferred out in the middle of the night right when we were on the cusp of completing the turnaround. The guys that stayed are the ones that will get the warmest welcomes back.
Shame Covid prevented Yeboah and us from actually playing in the tourney. He was a terrific player and influence on that squad.Yeboah was a heck of a consolation prize.
Yeboah was better in from a WAR perspective imoYeboah was a heck of a consolation prize.
No we don’t. We don’t owe him anything. That said, I have no hatred for the man and wish him a successful NBA career.Good for him. I’m proud of him and grateful for what he did for us (which is a **** ton more than any board poster judging him ever did for RU).
As for his transferring, I wonder what his side of the story is. The children complaining about him here sure as **** don’t know anything at all. I’ll bet if we peel back the onion of the story and their identities they’d be apologizing to him. He owes us nothing. We owe him gratitude.
Yes! There is a ton of depth to most every transfer story … Tez, Young, Myles, Eugene. If those stories ever get told in their pure unadulterated form it would be extremely compelling.Good for him. I’m proud of him and grateful for what he did for us (which is a **** ton more than any board poster judging him ever did for RU).

#1 quality of RU player - they don’t abandon the team.Wow, what an unbelievably bad take.
This is what pike said about him:
“Eugene has been a dedicated and valuable member of the program who exemplifies the qualities of a Scarlet Knight. Eugene’s contributions on the banks have been immeasurable”
Especially if he is a team captain.#1 quality of RU player - they don’t abandon the team.
How do you know the team didn’t abandon him? Maybe they he team didn’t deserve him? I don’t know either way. The only thing I do know is that you don’t know.#1 quality of RU player - they don’t abandon the team.
The following reply is not because of what your wrote on this thread but because what I think of you as a person more generally based on other threads:No we don’t. We don’t owe him anything. That said, I have no hatred for the man and wish him a successful NBA career.
Lol he can’t even spell his coach’s name correctly. We owe him nothing.Good for him. I’m proud of him and grateful for what he did for us (which is a **** ton more than any board poster judging him ever did for RU).

Florists and morticians refer to it as the Pink Carnation treatment. So you’re saying they’re all great?
If you don’t read it, how will you observe me making a fool of myself? The following reply is not because of what your wrote on this thread but because what I think of you as a person more generally based on other threads:
Be advised that anything I write on this board is for everyone except for you. Your thoughts and behavior have led me to think so little of you that I will never care what you think or have to say except to the degree I chuckle over your ignorance. I promise never to put you on Ignore because I enjoy observing you make a fool of yourself. You can reply if you like, but I won’t read it.
He left. Pike setup a game in Toronto for him and went to talk to him to convince him to stay. How do you know the team didn’t abandon him? Maybe they he team didn’t deserve him? I don’t know either way. The only thing I do know is that you don’t know.
I'm saying Pike says that about everyone who leaves. So you’re saying they’re all great?
And?He left. Pike setup a game in Toronto for him and went to talk to him to convince him to stay.
What motivated him to leave then? It wasn’t for lack of playing time. I doubt it was for a bigger stage or payday (either would be fine though). Aren’t the rumors that he was ostracized? My point is that we don’t know who is at fault and I’m not going to assume it was EO. Maybe he is and maybe he’s classless. Just saying I don’t know ****, nor do you. With that being the case, withholding judgment is the right thing to do. It’s just not as fun.He wasn’t abandoned by the team.
