Looked great on TV. Seen by all nationwide. Worth it.
Now imagine it being seen at the RAC

Announcers also had great things to say about the Rutgers crowd. I would rather see this for a good OOC game, but as Numbers said, if it evens out I can deal with it.Looked great on TV. Seen by all nationwide. Worth it.
This. Never ever forfeit a decided advantage. Never.Sorry to me its still not worth it
It is a treat to go to the garden for games. Used to have 2-4 a year there and loved itYes please stop complaining about that being a home game. I was there and that was basically a home game as the crowd was at least 80% Rutgers fans and almost sold out. Will gladly do that again next year.
I’m destroying the FoxSports pregame on Twitter right now. I think it was Donyell Marshall, who claimed, before the game, that Michigan State fans were going to turn Madison Square Garden into a home venue. What a ****ing idiot!
No. Can you stop playing board police already? You don’t like it when people talk about refs. You don’t like it when people complain about MSG. Blah blah, who cares.Great, gut-check win and we sounded really loud on TV. That was a home game - maybe not quite the RAC, but felt like home on TV at least. And by the way 22-16 on fouls in our favor (was 18-16 before they started fouling), so was a well-reffed game, too. Paul with the MVP of the game with 16 2nd half points. Huge!
Where do people get this kinda **** from? Like obviously that wasn’t going to happenI’m destroying the FoxSports pregame on Twitter right now. If it had been a few comments on MSG, I'd never start a thread like this, but you have to admit the drumbeat has been relentless on this, including during the game thread, and it's just annoying after awhile, so I'll call it out if I feel like it.No. Can you stop playing board police already? The actual body of your post I 100% support.
Regarding home game.. mostly. But they played MSU videos, had MSU people in the halftime contest, and enough fans for a couple of audible chants
Might have been where you were sitting. On TV we could hear the R-U chant all game long. All I could hear was the Michigan State band and when we tried an R-U chant MSG drowned it out with loud music. Fortunately, the team is just good so that’s why we win. But GREAT turnout by RU fans. Pleasantly surprised. If we had our game day Ops there it would’ve been crazy.
Ignore those guys, you’re 100% right. All of the anti msg crowd look very foolish today so they’re lashing out.If it had been a few comments on MSG, I'd never start a thread like this, but you have to admit the drumbeat has been relentless on this, including during the game thread, and it's just annoying after awhile, so I'll call it out if I feel like it.
I watched it on TV and I could clearly hear 70% of the RU chants. It was a beautiful thing to see Izzo’s sourpus face on tv. Great win Scarlet Knights!Great, gut-check win and we sounded really loud on TV. That was a home game - maybe not quite the RAC, but felt like home on TV at least. He was adamant about it!!Where do people get this kinda **** from? Like obviously that wasn’t going to happen

There was very little anti-MSG sentiment when we thought it was a neutral game except for a couple people who were extremely vocal and roundly mocked.Ignore those guys, you’re 100% right. All of the anti msg crowd look very foolish today so they’re lashing out.
That first part isn’t and we both know it. People have have complaining about this game since the season started. Next year we’ll get a game at msg that will be considered neutral even though we’ll have 80% of the crowd so it all evens out. Please stop crying. There was very little anti-MSG sentiment when we thought it was a neutral game except for a couple people who were extremely vocal and roundly mocked.
There are, rightly, a lot of people against playing there if it counts as a home game, especially if there are going to be videos, cheerleaders, etc from the “away” team. That is ********.
No one looks more or less foolish because we won, that’s just an extremely stupid thing to say @FinalFourOrBust
Just keep winning.. F... IzzoA win is always great. But the fact that we lost on a quad 1 win is ********
Sorry bac, this was so much fun to go to.Now imagine it being seen at the RAC
Tell that to the 11000 there
Someone behind me said that bot teams started the game with MSG jitters. I think he was right.I wouldn’t mind playing at MSG if we could EVER shoot more than 35% from the field.
We had a huge advantage todayThis. Never ever forfeit a decided advantage. Never.
You’re a clownThat first part isn’t and we both know it. People have have complaining about this game since the season started. Next year we’ll get a game at msg that will be considered neutral even though we’ll have 80% of the crowd so it all evens out. Please stop crying.
^^^This^^^ It’s always been this.I would just prefer the B1G schedules an OOC game here for us.
There’s no reason for us to play a B1G game away from the RAC.
If we hadn't had about 10 threads and hundreds of posts whining about it, it might be immature. After having to suffer through all that whining, it was appropriate, IMO.
Ignore those guys, you’re 100% right. All of the anti msg crowd look very foolish today so they’re lashing out.
And ^^^THIS^^^ too. There was very little anti-MSG sentiment when we thought it was a neutral game except for a couple people who were extremely vocal and roundly mocked.

At least you’re not crying about fouls this timeYou’re a clownand you have no idea what you’re talking about.
I was there too and near the MSU band. Couldn’t hear our band at all and the couple of attempts of an R-U chant went nowhere that I could tell because they were drowned out by MSG game day operations.I was there it was loud, all RU. Interesting take re broadcast because much different in person. It was mostly red pike 80/20 RU
Respectfully disageeI tend to agree with the sentiment here, but the lecture thread title is immature.
You want to know why all those things were included in today’s game? Because this was a big time frigging game at the famous basketball venue on national tv.There was very little anti-MSG sentiment when we thought it was a neutral game except for a couple people who were extremely vocal and roundly mocked.

Sorry bac, this was so much fun to go to.
That is how I see it alsoWow, caps, you must also be a mod, lol. It's only unfair if we don't get the games evened out, as it's now 2-1 against us. If it's an even split, it's an advantage to us in the long run as "away" games at MSG will be mostly like home games and "home" games at MSG will be almost as good as the RAC.
This turned better than being at the RACYes it’s GREAT we won, but it’s doesn’t change the fact it SHOULD have been played at the RAC.
It’s not fair that every team doesn’t have to play a conference game away from home court.
Great, gut-check win and we sounded really loud on TV. That was a home game - maybe not quite the RAC, but felt like home on TV at least. And by the way 22-16 on fouls in our favor (was 18-16 before they started fouling), so was a well-reffed game, too. Paul with the MVP of the game with 16 2nd half points. Huge!
Wondering how many still complaining were there or did they watch on tvYes please stop complaining about that being a home game. I was there and that was basically a home game as the crowd was at least 80% Rutgers fans and almost sold out. Will gladly do that again next year.
