Great, gut-check win and we sounded really loud on TV. That was a home game - maybe not quite the RAC, but felt like home on TV at least. And by the way 22-16 on fouls in our favor (was 18-16 before they started fouling), so was a well-reffed game, too. Paul with the MVP of the game with 16 2nd half points. Huge!

I would just prefer the B1G schedules an OOC game here for us.

Worked out perfectly in the end. Big win, played at the garden, huge arena like in the tournament. Only huge downside is Mag. Damn I hope it isn’t bad.
If the B1G eventually evens out the "home" games, I'm fine. If not, I'll be pissed, but as I've been saying, this will still be largely a home game and it was. Way to show up fans.
Maybe during the Jersey Mike's arena renovations, MSG should be the home court?

I tend to agree with the sentiment here, but the lecture thread title is immature.
Very worried about Mag, too - he's been really coming on and to lose him for more than a few games will really hurt.
If we hadn't had about 10 threads and hundreds of posts whining about it, it might be immature. After having to suffer through all that whining, it was appropriate, IMO.
Hell no. It should’ve been at the RAC and it should’ve been a neutral site game. NCAA and BIG Ten tried to screw us. But Pike and crew shoved the RU screw way up where the sun don’t shine inside the NCAA and Big Ten.

Well, 3K additional RU fans got to go to the game so that is a positive, right? Team is now prepped in what the tournament games will feel like. I like playing a marquee game every other year at MSG as long as we only lose one home every four years in this process. Great exposure, great TV, recruits want to play in settings like these. Hard to find any negatives.
Yes it’s GREAT we won, but it’s doesn’t change the fact it SHOULD have been played at the RAC.
It’s not fair that every team doesn’t have to play a conference game away from home court.

I wouldn’t mind playing at MSG if we could EVER shoot more than 35% from the field.
All I could hear was the Michigan State band and when we tried an R-U chant MSG drowned it out with loud music. Fortunately, the team is just good so that’s why we win. But GREAT turnout by RU fans. Pleasantly surprised. If we had our game day Ops there it would’ve been crazy.

This wasn’t Jersey Mike’s Arena but it certainly felt that way – at least when it came to the amount of Scarlet-clad fans in the stands.
Rutgers undoubtedly had the support of the vast majority of the crowd. The lower bowl – and most of the upper level – was almost entirely filled with red with some patches of green and white mixed in.
The Michigan State faithful, though, did make itself heard at times. The Spartans also brought their cheerleaders and pep band.
But the Rutgers fans were far more vocal, especially in the second half.
It was a good environment from the start inside the Mecca.

I was there it was loud, all RU. Interesting take re broadcast because much different in person. It was mostly red pike 80/20 RU
Wow, caps, you must also be a mod, lol. It's only unfair if we don't get the games evened out, as it's now 2-1 against us. If it's an even split, it's an advantage to us in the long run as "away" games at MSG will be mostly like home games and "home" games at MSG will be almost as good as the RAC.
Looked great on TV. Seen by all nationwide. Worth it.
