Not sure if anyone noticed during the 2nd half when Caleb was called for a block. First, it was an offensive foul...But the refs called it a Block...after the call, Holtman runs over in front of Caleb, does the block signal right at Caleb...then starts yelling at him that it was a flop with the flop hand gesture. What a classless piece of ....... So glad Pike is our guy. Also glad Caleb kept his calm with the exception of a minor expletive.

To be fair Caleb taunts more than anyone I’ve ever seen. He’s not innocent

Saw him appear to say nice things to Paul on an inbound play in Front of tOSU bench. Not feeling the bad vibes. Looks like a class act to me

Was a really close call to me, as Caleb was not in good position, but the OSU guy did extend his arm a bit, so it could have been called a charge, too; regardless, no excuse for Holtman to do that.

IMO it was a charge and they anticipated contact being initiated by Caleb.

Holtmann looked like a total loser.

I just rewatched the clip.

Holtman did not “taunt” Caleb he was motioning block and flop for the ref, that was nowhere near a taunt.

Don’t be so damn soft man
I don't get into these arguments typically...but watch it again...You are 100% wrong...he taunted Caleb after the call was made... It was 100% at Caleb. I've been sitting in 112 for almost 30 years. That was a taunt...watch the handshake line...Holtmann apologizes to Caleb. It's obvious. Soft? you are being ridiculous to take a shot at me. Not soft...honest.

I saw it in real time and told the people sitting near me.

I get it. It was a very emotional game and things like that happen BUT as a head coach you need to be above that. He came across looking like a 12-year-old in the moment and I'm sure if he had a chance he would take it back.

Not a good luck for him at all

It looked very idiotic in the moment - he repeated the block motion about 4x and walked toward Caleb - but agree with the above comment it was a very emotional tense game. But haven't really seen any other B10 coach ever do that.

I thought the block was the right call, don't think Caleb had his feet set.

Holtman seems like a dick though, I'm sure he feels the pressure losing 4 in a row

Believe me other than the call that led to the technical on Pike, I'm not going to complain about the officials in this game. But if you are going to call that on Caleb then how do you explain the charge they called going against us the other way. That kid did not have his feet set either. And that kid on Ohio State was using the chicken wing all game. Their guards were pushing off the entire time.

Anyway, I digress...lol

He wasn’t taunting he was pleading to the refs for a flop technical. Pike has done it a few times to.

Coach couldn't see the elbow from behind. It was certainly there. Elbows all game by t OSU.

Go watch it again. He does the blocking gesture four times in a taunting manner before he asks for the flop. Weak sauce from a head coach who is supposed to be the adult in the room.

I like to see the positive side of things. So I'm going to assume that Holtman went over to Caleb to be social.
If you read his lips, I think Holtman said, "Hey, ya know we have a lot in common. For example, we will both be gone next year!"
