Back to Clemson for Scott?
Back to Clemson for Scott?
Some name brands that might get a look:Some names that have come up for USF are Jason Candle, Jamey Chadwell, Sean Lewis, Kane Wommack, Dan Mullen, Tony White, Alex Atkins
Yup I’ve seen those names too on a different list. Some name brands that might get a look:
Scott Frost might have a shot, because of his 2 year success at UCF before flopping at NEBRASKA
If Randy Shannon wants to be a HC again , he might deserve consideration because he's supposed to recruit wall and might be a good HC fit at a mid major after being let go as the U's HC 12 years ago
Tom Herman might want to get back in the game and USF might be a place for him to proved he's more like his Houston success than his Texas years
Manny Diaz is another name that might get a close look.
My dark horse candidate is former UAB head coach Bill Clark , if his medical issue is fixed and the rumor of his thinking about coaching gain is true.
He made UAB a good program from the mess he took over then revived that program after it was dropped
I've left out assistants with no prior HC experience because I feel USF will want HC experience ( with some success) when trying to get someone that has a chance to make the Bulls a good mid major program.Yup I’ve seen those names too on a different list.
IIRC in the article, Saban endorsed him too just in general not particularly for that job.Recruiting at Charlotte will be slightly more difficult than at Michigan or a Maryland parochial high school. Though getting personal recommendations from the Harbaugh brothers is impressive to an AD. Could be similar to the Bill Walsh recommendation of Terry Shea, of course, too.
I like Stoops and think he’s done an outstanding job at UK but imo again imo it’s too much. Agree with Russo. Nebraska must have factored into it.
I think Rhule to Nebraska is quite possible but Stoops name has been connected to them as well. I’ve not seen much with Stoops to Auburn. Usually it is Kiffin, Deion or Freeze and then maybe others lower down the list and those names aren’t Stoops either.I think Auburn position played a role not Nebra$ka in tnis extension...Rhule to Nebraska unless he gets wet feet after thanksgiving...

Yea I don’t know about the Spun, I’m talking about Feldman or Thamel or Vannini who follow CFB news and specifically coaching changes during this time of year.Mark Stoops is a college football head coach that's been floated as a possible candidate for jobs like Nebraska and Auburn, but he doesn't appear to be going anywhere.
College decisions should probably start to pop late Saturday?
Here's a bright idea!
I keep on saying Auburn will probably hire Matt Rhule and not the ones most are speculating will go there .Ohio State is a better job. It's easier to get to the playoff from the B1G than from the SEC. Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland, and Penn State are not exactly Georgia, Alabama, and LSU.
Giving Fisher the boot would be the most expensive firing in college football history. I think he gets all of that money.I keep on saying Auburn will probably hire Matt Rhule and not the ones most are speculating will go there .
But instead of Day the TA&M message boars should be thinking about Rhule running the show if a Jimbo move is made.
The way that program is supported m buy out might not be a problem even if it is very expensive to give Fisher the boot.
Malzahn’s from Auburn is the current highest at around 21.45M…Fisher would be around 86M.Giving Fisher the boot would be the most expensive firing in college football history. I think he gets all of that money.
The guy nobody here wanted has his contract extended as he is in the middle of his turnaround at Kansas, the one P5 program that probably worse than Rutgers or close to it.

Never a guarantee but definitely not a bad suggestion.
Was he? Born in PA. Played at Delaware. Coached at Rowan at Division III.But only a Jersey Guy understands Jersey Football.
KC Keeler was technically a Jersey Guy but I guess not enough.
Didn’t hurt to ask after going to 4 straight D3 Championship games and winning his first FCS at Delaware, esp after Schiano left late in the Coaching Carousel that year. Won his second FCS title and is considered one of the best coaches ever by ESPN and having only 2 losing seasons out of 29.Was he? Born in PA. Played at Delaware. Coached at Rowan at Division III.
Fired from Delaware after going 2-6 in Conference and finishing 8th in Conference.
He's at FCS Sam Houston State.
The next stepping stone is usually HC at a G5 school. Was he interested in Rutgers?
Definitely an impressive record. He had former RU QB Mike Dare after he transferred out in 2017 in the Ash error. Keeler is getting up there in years, and wonder why he never took the next step up to G5.Didn’t hurt to ask after going to 4 straight D3 Championship games and winning his first FCS at Delaware, esp after Schiano left late in the Coaching Carousel that year.
