Not the same guy in this video. The body transformation is kind of amazing. He definitely changed his body. We all thought he was going to be another Rashod Kent.
Funny I thought the exact opposite, Spencer is listed at 6'4" which means he is likely 6'2"/3"....which puts Woolfolk at 6'7"/8"....nonetheless he looks strong, hopefully has the strength to hold his own in the paint. I'm still hopeful if he is coming in this strong as a freshman, he can develop into a real asset in a couple years for us. And in the short term (provided Cliff and Dean are healthy)....we only need about 1 minute a game from him at the 5. Looks like he might be able to do it.He honestly looks tall, was worried he would be like 6’7 but he looks a good 4 inches taller than Cam Spencer and he is 6’4 himself
I know it's high school video and all, but he looks really fluid in his movement to the basket not stiff at all, which you often see with young big men.The kid definitely has something to offer. Great movement, very nimble for a guy his size, and really showed me something with going to his left hand. Always liked him but even more so now. Could be a real sleeper for us.
Pike has been an outstanding evaluator of under-recruited guys, so I believe he may have found another diamond in the rough. Very excited for all three newcomers plus our returning players.
If Gonzo-Agee was 6-10.He honestly looks tall, was worried he would be like 6’7 but he looks a good 4 inches taller than Cam Spencer and he is 6’4 himself
This is what impressed me, too. With big guys, touch around the rim is more often than not something you have or you don't. You really can't teach it....and touch around the rim.
Can we compare Woolfolk to Mag or does he play bigger and closer to the basket? This is what impressed me, too. With big guys, touch around the rim is more often than not something you have or you don't. You really can't teach it.
He looks to be more of post guy, but I have only seen what we have seen here. Will be really interested to read people’s observations if they are able to see him work out and scrimmage this summer. Can we compare Woolfolk to Mag or does he play bigger and closer to the basket?
I don't think you can compare the two. Woolfolk is an interior player while Mag is more of a perimeter player. Can we compare Woolfolk to Mag or does he play bigger and closer to the basket?
I think it's premature to say what Woolfolk will bring. What he had to do in HS for his team may be different from what he develops into at Rutgers. We have no idea about his shooting ability because in HS he was probably not asked to do that on the perimeter.I don't think you can compare the two. Woolfolk is an interior player while Mag is more of a perimeter player.
We only know the Woolfolk that was a 6'8, 260 pound football/basketball player, so yes, he was a power player in High School. That could change with his new body...not saying it will change but he can certainly add more to his game with the weight loss.Woolfolk was an interior power player. Mag is an extremely bouncey perimeter player. They aren't comparable at all
Agreed... but he still is not comparable to MagWe only know the Woolfolk that was a 6'8, 260 pound football/basketball player, so yes, he was a power player in High School. You new here?Guys, it’s just a picture.
Hope they do well.
To be fair, some of us in this thread were discussing the HS tape we saw previously. And now it appears the team is on campus working out, so maybe we'll get some better reports on the new guys. You new here?
I know you're not new here. Wait until training camp then we can all start drooling at shirtless teenagers.
