If a guy doesn't want to play at Rutgers than just let him go elsewhere. That list seems like it is all over the map. Some big schools and some that are not nearly as good.

This thread isn't what most Rutgers fans want to see because Sessoms was identified as a transfer that could fill a need at the point guard position. What is missing once again is the naming of transfers that are actually interested in Rutgers as a possible destination school. Why is that so difficult to identify for a team playing in the Big Ten?One possible explanation is that Rutgers still favors under recruited players that don't mention playing time and number of shots that they will take.I doubt those type players will be shown on any recruiting threads on this message board. All I know is that there is a desperate need for shooters to replace the scoring from Baker and Harper as well as players from the previous season who transfererd to other schools.

The grass is always greener fans will say he was better than our guys but our guys made the dance 3 years in a row. Pike can’t recruit or coach but we made the dance 3 years in a row. PSU did not.
Exactly. He didn't do a lot of winning

I’m willing to wait for the games.
I guess in a sense, but I feel pretty confident that fairly average/below average talent is not going to move the program forward.

Once the roster is official then I’ll make judgements on how Pike did with recruiting/rebuilding the team.

The reality is that we need to continue progressing and a big part of that is recruiting. Perception is a very important thing, and it’s a big reason why I’m worried about what SHU is doing.

People saying it’s 1 game a year don’t understand that being perceived as second fiddle is NOT a good thing in this region.

There is a difference between what fans would like to happen and the reality of what the player is looking for.

All good points, but I think the portal has people losing their minds. No one has committed anywhere yet, but we have people going nuts over a final 6 graphic created by someone to get clicks.

What are you willing to shell out Plum? I’ll match unless you live in one of those great towns. Then all bets are off! 😀
I think a minimum $10 month subscription service . Just from the fans on this board we organize and maybe we can buy a guy like sessons in the portal. Serious

Why would this be a surprise if he is leaving PSU and their approach to the game why would anyone think he would be interested in RU? Right now these programs are very similar in there approach and defensive philosophy, go back and listen to the PS coaches post game interview after the second RU game. Sessoms doesn't fit an RU looks very much like what he is leaving, got nothing to do with Pike's recruiting.

Hmmm … obviously Pike doesn’t agree with your take as he recruited the kid the last 2 years.
