Saw on his instagram he signed an agent, Gary Durrant I think. So that means no return, right? Still shocked by his decision to go to draft
It doesn't look like he made academic honors
Geo, Oskar, Mawot, Paul, Cliff, Dean, Ron, Aiden, and Luke
This is correct and Durant is NCAA certified. So the window isn’t technically closed in his return. But from reading the tea leaves, it’s extremely unlikely.Think it depends if it’s an ncaa approved agent. I believe they can retain eligibility. Seems he wants to play for $. So I’m not expecting to see Mr Jones grade a college floor again.

I flat out don't get this. What are they raving about? That he's tall and can in theory be a combo guard? You can find ballers that fit that stature at any pickup court in NYC.Scouts supposedly rave about him so who knows
It's not like NBA teams have never drafted a college kid who didn't play a lot. There's precedent. That said this is a stretch for Jaden. Let's hope he goes through evals, is told he has things to work on, and comes back hungry to improve.I flat out don't get this. What are they raving about? He hasn't played at all. It doesn't matter if he looks good in practice and in open runs, can he put in work against peers like OSU, UM, MSU, etc? A lot of players go HAM in open runs and can't buy a bucket in a game situation, especially on the road against a quality opponent.
The NBA game is very different from college right now. So when scouts see a young athletic guard that can do it all offensively and doesn’t need to unlearn the college game, they see potential. They’ll have him sign a G League contract, teach him how to play the pro game and have him on a pro roster in a few years.I flat out don't get this. What are they raving about? Yeah Kobe Bryant . With due respect to Jones, while he was reasonably highly ranked from HS, he was never a sure fire NBA talent .It's not like NBA teams have never drafted a college kid who didn't play a lot. His dad said NBA scouts were intrigued. I wonder what intrigued them. This is a deep draft this year, loaded with guys who played a lot more minutes at a high level all season. Unless his HS highlights and RU practice film resembles LeBron's, I don't see how an NBA team would use an actual draft pick on him. Stranger things have happened, though.Scouts supposedly rave about him so who knows
Doesn’t really matter to be honest. G League will pay him at minimum $7k a month in addition to benefits like insurance and housing during the season.Yeah Kobe Bryant . With due respect to Jones, while he was reasonably highly ranked from HS, he was never a sure fire NBA talent .
He’s not coming back.Lol who cares? I’d be absolutely shocked if this kid came back to RU.
Pretty much this. Everything about look how the NBA has changed and he'll be earning a salary is complete ********. Kid doesn't play in college, unless he's a generational talent he's not going anywhere as a pro.I flat out don't get this. What are they raving about? If he was anything close to NBA caliber he would have been in the starting lineup from the beginningYeah Kobe Bryant . With due respect to Jones, while he was reasonably highly ranked from HS, he was never a sure fire NBA talent .
That’s where I assume he ends up.If Jaden Jones had an Overtime Elite option in 2021, he would have never enrolled early or played a minute here.
Look at two 2022 kids we were recruiting at the 4, Dom Barlow and Jai Smith did on Overtime Elite with Coach Ryan Gomes.
You're right. Jaden is money. He's so money, he doesn't even know it. But he does. The NBA game is very different from college right now. Just look at all of these mock drafts. The majority of first round picks are projected to be college freshman and sophomores, G League/Overtime Elite guys and international players. Nobody wants a guy that broke through as a junior or senior and shot the lights out against a lot of zone defenses. That doesn’t translate to the pros.
And Lebron played in 0Kyrie only played in 11 college games. Just saying.![]()
Kyrie vs Jaden that’s a joke Kyrie was hurt but everyone knew how good he wasKyrie only played in 11 college games. Just saying.![]()
Just making a point that some kids who barely played in college got drafted. Do I think they are comparable players? C’mon.Kyrie vs Jaden that’s a joke Kyrie was hurt but everyone knew how good he was
