Tennessee player has balls getting that close to Howard after a game.
It's a nice gesture by Coach Howard. What he did earlier this year warranted suspension, but this shows a good side of him.Tennessee player has balls getting that close to Howard after a game.
Safe to say another bad take ‘
Coach Howard is a good winner, poor loser. It's a nice gesture by Coach Howard. What he did earlier this year warranted suspension, but this shows a good side of him.
Houston was favored but don’t let that stop you from pretending Illinois was overrated.
certainly not an indication of who is better.Playing in a one and done situation is not an indication of whether a team is better than another team. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night.
Do we really think St. Peter’s is better than Kentucky or that the MAAC is better than the SEC because of that game? If St. Peter’s plays in big ten they go 1-19.
certainly not an indication of who is better.
but Kentucky losing as a 2 seed to St. Peter’s…is a clear indication kentucky was a bit overrated
Pretty sure it’s only under two minutes in OT, not the full 5 minute period. Why is replay review last 2 minutes + overtime? 3 minutes left in overtime is somehow more important than 3 minutes left in regulation?
Well, do they play Nebraska twice or just once? If they play them twice, St. Peters would go 2-18Playing in a one and done situation is not an indication of whether a team is better than another team. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night.

yes, single elimination games with travel that you clearly don't understand is the absolute best way to measure the entire conference...
Did hat look like the Illinois team you saw all year?Illini wayyy overrated, imo
They’re actually ahead of Nebraska and Minnesota in Kenpom and both those teams were 4-16. So they probably go like 5-15 in the big ten this seasonWell, do they play Nebraska twice or just once? If they play them twice, St. Peters would go 2-18

Can you read ? All year ! The team that beat Wisconsin and Michigan and Iowa late. Grandison got hurt and their injuries caught up with them. You will never see Frazier and Curbelo have almost goose eggs. You are being ridiculous now. I forgot they shared the regular season title by accident.the last few weeks..yes. Big ten Tourny Illinois for sure

then how do you know they are over-rated? JK...i don't care...never said anything about “best” or worst way…
Guys…I don’t “know” that they are.then how do you know they are over-rated? JK...i don't care...
Seriously…Maybe the league needs some coaching changes to come into the 21st century? I thought they were doing that with Miller at Indiana and Holtmanm at OSU but Miller was a massive flop and Holtmanm has a typical plodding B1G team…minus the gargantuan center.Big 10 looking slow AF in the tourney per usual
Conference needs to upgrade its recruiting and recruit athletes. Year after year , this conference lags in recruiting behind other P5 conferences with exception of Michigan as of late and Ohio State next year.Seriously…Maybe the league needs some coaching changes to come into the 21st century? Agree with what you’ve said but it’s also coaching philosophies. What use are the occasional 5 star players / super athletes when you handcuff them with a 1960s offense.Conference needs to upgrade its recruiting and recruit athletes. Also look at coaching moves. Sean Miller is available and Maryland settles for Kevin Willard - Turgeon 2.0 - while Sean Miller - game changer - was available.
Teams like Wisconsin and Iowa will be successful in conference play but put them against other conferences - and it’s generally a fail in the long run.
Conference needs to look itself in the mirror and emulate what Howard is doing at Michigan. Recruiting / Recruiting / Recruiting !
Well it appears that Illinois and Iowa are the under achievers but that doesn’t make them good all season. They were 4 and 5 seeds in the tourney and lost. Ohio state was seeded 7 and lost to 2 seed Villanova in a real close game that turned when they got it to 2 and Kyle Young got hurt. Michigan State a 7 seed who has not played well down the stretch lost to a 2 seed in Duke after leading 75-74 with 1:15 left.its just my opinion…which means absolutely nothing.. ridiculous or not.
Illinois was very overrated all season. Hopefully the big ten can have more than one team in sweet sixteen. Wisky and probably Purdue if I had to guess
Big East would have 2 teams, not 3. Big East riding the coattails of Villanova for forever.Big Ten is -- as it is perennially -- grossly overrated. At BEST, it has three teams in the Sweet Sixteen -- same exact percentage (3/9 vs. 2/6) as the Big East. And honestly I'll be surprised if both WI and Purdue win.
Sure, anything can happen in one game.
But this isn't just this year. It's basically EVERY year that the conference crashes and burns -- EVEN with a whole lot more lottery tix (bids) than any other league each time.
But hey, at least they have won ONE championship in the last 22 years . . .
And same in football, too. Ranked high all season, then smoked by the SEC and Big 12.
Illinois was a 4 seed and lost to a 5 seed. Houston broke that game open late but geez - it’s not like a 2 seed losing to a 15.Well it appears that Illinois and Iowa are the under achievers but that doesn’t make them good all season. So seed wise you cannot say specifically anything or any team was overrated except Iowa who lost to a 12 seed. Things happened pretty much in line with the seed. But the overall point is judging a team on a one and done format that is so dependent on matchups and forgetting about the regular season to judge how good a team is , is usually not a proper way to decide whether they are overrated or not.Well it appears that Illinois and Iowa are the under achievers but that doesn’t make them good all season.
