I think his transferring for academic and hoops feels different. There is no mention of Johnson transferring to UCLA which has the potentail like last season to have a long run in the NCAA Tournament.
Offense being ran through himAnd to think, Young had been dominating.
Ya, an RU grad.I think his transferring for academic and hoops feels different.
They got a 4 seed. Will be rooting for them because of Myles.I assume this means UCLA is in? Of the 3 Myles is the guy I was rooting for. Love that guy.
...and to be near his familyI think his transferring for academic and hoops feels different.
Tough tits to them.I liked Young and Mathis, but they left RU, so I wanted no part of seeing them in the tourney, as I think that only encourages good players to overrate the advantages to leaving RU.
Exactly, for the latest on Johnson head over to LinkedIn, not a basketball forumI think his transferring for academic and hoops feels different.
Isn’t young also an RU grad ? I think he got his degree here , same as Peter kiss . They are both rutgers men .Ya, an RU grad.
Why not feel good for young and Johnson too? Both are rutgers alums like many hereI feel good for Peter. Trust me he got along very well with every guy on RU. On his last season at RU he only played a couple minutes in two games but he still practiced hard and rooted so hard for our guys sitting on the bench that entire season. Young and Mathis both decided to leave and Young's numbers were down this season across the board and Mathis did about the same as what he did at RU. I think if Jacob had stayed Paul would not have had the chance to shine and improve as he did. He led the BIG 10 in assists and is averaging over 9 points per game. Jacob never got too many assists.
Johnson and young got rutgers degrees . They are fellow alums and rutgers men . Just like Peter kissJohnson, Young, and Mathis cheated themselves out of a solid chance at a Big Ten men’s hoops title and a lasting legacy here. Short-sighted.
Negative, Myles left to pursue academics at one of the best engineering schools in the country. Young was a chemistry issue with the rest of the team. It was best for RU that he left IMO.Johnson, Young, and Mathis cheated themselves out of a solid chance at a Big Ten men’s hoops title and a lasting legacy here. Short-sighted.
And I think the absence of that attitude was one of the keys to the success Rutgers has had this season.I honestly don’t think JY cares. It was more about him than team.
But if they don't get knocked out in Dayton, it'll be fun to watch him do pushups and taunt the fans and media again in the next game as he single handedly demolishes the Arizona defense. After seeing the show in the conference tournament by the nation's leading scorer I hope that they get knocked out in the first round.
And Oregon ran the offense through him. They should be a NC favorite. Oh, wait.....And to think, Young had been dominating.
Huge loss whether some want to it admit or not.Young would have been an asset. On the offensive end for sure.
