I know many are upset with him, but we have to support Paul. It's easy to say he did something stupid, but not only was he fouled, but was also pushed hard right after that. No excuse, but he needs our support and not our anger.

He might make some plays or poor body language at times that makes us crazy, BUT HE IS OUR GUY.

Support our team. It's hard enough when the opponents are our enemy........

He’s already in some type of therapy or at least working with Dave Anderson. RHJ talked about in his NY Post interview earlier in the week.

Look, we won. I’m sure he’s embarrassed. All’s well that ends well. Now we all have a great story for our grandkids someday and when we call into Knightline in 30 years. He’s been getting a reputation and this will be his wake up call.

No issues with Paul. Was it a great play? No. Heat of the moment and let’s be honest. That dude jacked him in the chest.

******** no flagrant. It happened, Paul likely learned a lesson, we won. No problem.

I meant the opposite of what you’re saying.

Geo can’t sell a tshirt without half the board hating him, but Paul’s excused for throwing a punch and nearly throwing the season.

Embarrassed and Suspended for the next game.

He needs to stop complaining like a baby. Now the Refs don't like him and are starting to call close calls against him.

Yeah right there are 3 threads on the board calling him out but he gets treated differently…..fact is without him we aren’t close to getting to the tournament. I love how he plays and he got screwed twice on this game by a kid who hooked him and then pushed him but somehow Paul is the bad guy WTF is wrong with you guys.

He needs to be accountable to his teammates, his coach, his classmates and the school he represents. That is up to Paul to do that. All RU fans support him but we will not enable flagrant 2s.

Oh no, I’m not excusing him, throwing the punch was dumb! I get the frustration but nonetheless it was stupid. Sorry about that!

I watch every game, sometimes multiple times, you said he gets treated differently, when there are multiple threads bitching about him. How is that treated differently is beyond me since this board is constantly bitching about [insert name here]. I love this team, they have made Rutgers basketball enjoyable. Sorry I don’t get enjoyment by complaining about our players especially after a huge win. I know they are trying their hardest. As a former athlete I know how the heat of the moment can get the best of you and you make mistakes. I am sure you are perfect and have never done anything stupid. These games aren’t about you they are about them.

1. You can’t honestly tell me other players would be defended to this level after something that stupid.

2. It is about them. Them, plural. This isn’t the Paul Mulcahy show and he doesn’t need to complain to the refs every possession and get pointless flagrant fouls in situations like that.

I hope you’re not implying that about me or others who are frustrated that Paul has been doing stuff like this for a week now, and that he could conceivably (hopefully not) get suspended for the PSU game.

There are times when posters have no grounds for what they’re saying (like the fire Pike crowd), but some criticism is allowed.

2. Haha yes go ask his teammates about him. I’m sure they will say he is a selfish player on playing for himself. Give it a rest.

I like Paul a lot, but he has become overly sensitive recently and complaining about every call against him whether good or bad. How would everyone feel if we did end up losing. I could see that he could have pushed back, but not take a swing at the head. Regardless should have been double flagrant. Grateful that the team got this great win!

Paul made a mistake but he was defending himself. Zero is a pos as far as I am concerned but Paul needs to be smarter there. He also needs to stop crying about every call. That’s the next step in his maturity. Hell get there he’s smart and super competitive.

Good thing we won, Paul can learn from this and move on. If we lost it would have been something that hung over his head.

I doubt he gets much of a grilling from anyone.

It’s easy to say “be the bigger man” when it’s not you getting your face pushed in after being abused all night and feel like the world of refs are against you. I’m sure 99.9% of you all on here, despite whatever “jobs” you have to represent, if someone tried to break your wrist and then 10 minutes later smashed your face like that, would have done exactly what Paul did or worse. Stop the self-righteous garbage
