No surprise here, RU jumps from #5 to #4. OSU at #6 right behind Penn. Cuse at #14 is laughable, and Hopkins and Michigan are #15 and #16, respectively.
Have to keep them ranked high so it helps the rest of the ACC when they lose to all of those teams. When is the last time that an ACC team was not ranked? All 5 in the top 14 WOW that is simply crazy. Duke has 2 losses and ranked 10Syracuse ranking is a joke.

WLAX remains at #14 despite the impressive 4-0 start.

Teams ahead of them include UVA at #13 despite being 3-3, and Florida at #11 despite being 1-2. I guess the voters don't like our OOC schedule thus far?
So what do the board lacrosse experts expect will happen in these games? My amateur uninformed view:It is going to be a fascinating week:
Army @ Syracuse on Tuesday
Saturday
Princeton @ Georgetown
Maryland @ Notre Dame (who only plays away games vs. ACC teams)
UVA @ Hopkins
Penn @ Penn St.
Cornell @ Ohio St.
Agree with the possible exception of PSU. Had them left for dead till they beat Yale. Now I'm not sureSo what do the board lacrosse experts expect will happen in these games? My amateur uninformed view:
Army takes down Syracuse
Georgetown over Princeton
Maryland over ND
Virginia over JHU (a win here would be HUGE for the B1G)
Penn comfortably over PSU
Ohio State over Cornell
So what do the board lacrosse experts expect will happen in these games? My amateur uninformed view:
Army takes down Syracuse Nichtern and Army's ride takes down the 'Cuse barring homer refs getting in the way
Georgetown over Princeton Georgetown, but how well Princeton does against their 2nd Top 3 team gives an indication for the season
Maryland over ND Maryland, and if it's big the ACCs in trouble
Virginia over JHU (a win here would be HUGE for the B1G) Virginia easily, too athletic
Penn comfortably over PSU Evidently PSUs goalie was unconscious vs. Yale, unless there's a repeat Penn easily
Ohio State over Cornell Ohio St., and we find out how good Cornell is
The B1G season is going to be an absolute dogfight. It's the best conference in the country right now.
Ivies are good to say the least. Yale, Princeton, Cornell, and Penn are all good teams. Brown isn't a pushover either and wouldn't be shocked if Harvard isn't as well.Agreed. And if this week's games go favorably, the Ivies may be #2 this year.

I never understood why Columbia doesn't have a team. They have a women's team and I think men's lax would be a rare sport that CU would be good in due to the lax talent of the NYC metro area.Harvard is so damn young and talented that they may develop and move past Brown before the end of the season. Possibly 6 in the Top 20 before the end of the year. Dartmouth easily had the worst recruiting in the 2 pandemic years so it's going to be a rough year. Too bad, as Callahan finally had things progressing after replacing a coach from the Chris Ash School of Recruiting. Though not a Top 5, Hincks is a Top 15 goalie and might keep a few games close. FYI, he's a senior who has a covid year of eligibility after this year.

Title 9 probably. If they create a men's team, they are going to have to create another women's. team. It's expensive.
The other Ivies have both hockey and lacrosse. Some ditched wrestling, which Columbia has, but it's more than Title IX.
Columbia is the one Ivy that like you said, doesn't care about athletics. I feel like every other Ivy at least tries to take athletics seriously...Dartmouth might be the one other Ivy that struggles athletically mainly because of their obscure location in New Hampshire, away from the I-95 corridor. The probably have more money. Columbia doesn't seem like the type of school who cares about sports compared to some of it's peers.
I would have a hard time believing they are under the title 9 limit and can add a stand alone men's sport. I would have a hard time believing any school is for that matter.

Why doesn't BC have a team? I thought they did at one point. That would give the ACC a 6th team and make the ACC legit.
RU -4 vs Stony Brook on Saturday.

pretty good link on Hayes

True.Title 9 isn’t about the number of sports. It’s about the amount of money you spend on each gender.. If you have football you have more womens sports.
