Inconsistent performances are determined by the teams ability to score.
I missed the 1st half. Did we play that poorly?
One of my issues with RU is starting ridiculously slow then playing lights out to get back in the game. Points in the 1st 3 minutes count the same as last 3 minutes. They sometimes start like they just rolled out of bed. Drives me crazy.
At least we aren't an embarrassment at the free throw line any more. Thank God.
We lost to a really good team last night. They made some clutch shots and never lost composure. Our guys can learn a lot from playing well coached teams like that.

I was not enjoying the first half so at halftime I took a walk and listened on my phone. I walked until we tied it up then went back in to see the finish. I should have kept walking

I do love our radio team though. Really enjoyable to listen to them

So you are the reason we lost 😀

it was a terrible first half.

second half RU played pretty good defense...good enough to win but its offense was not good and if not for a Geo flurry taking it upon himself we would have been down double digits

they played hard, they just did not play smart. Wisconsin played smart, they are consistent, thats why they are competing for the Big 10 title and RU is falling by the wayside

Yep. The difference between 23-5 and 16-12. The game is 40 minutes long -- including the first 20

Really believed we would win 2 of the past 3 and we easily could have even with two of them away games. What RHJ said is spot on. To be honest I don’t think we will be beating Indiana this week. When you come out and start in the hole it is an uphill battle. I hope I’m wrong but this is typical for our season’s two biggest losing streaks. GO RUTGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That to me was the story.

Highlighted by the missed back to back oops, and then the Baker overthrow on the runout by Harper.

I know we missed 2 front ends of one on ones, were they both first half as well?

We missed 3 front ends - not sure when they were, though.

Looks like Mag and McConnell in the first half, Omoruyi in the second.

This is a small potatoes thing but I hate when we start the game by setting up Cliff for the baseline hook that he hits about 25% of the time. We went down 5 real quickly.
Yeah that is not the most optimal shot. Also we need to be more cautious throwing the lob in traffic

We missed 2 in the first half and a third one in the second half so our foul shooting percentage was essentially 50%

And Geo missed the front end as well. That's the potential of 8 points right there lost.

He needs to get some air under that shot... some arc.

Missed some big 1 and 1 free throws against Wisconsin on Saturday.

This was definately the game; I was at the game with my son's, and my oldest said that there was far too much one-on-one basketball, no extra passes, which caused us to take some tougher 2-point shots than was necessary. We put far less pressure on the Wisconsin defense in the first half than we should have. Can't be down 9 to a good team and expect to win; it took everything out of us just to come back.

This was the game in a nut shell.

Those four straight stops we got with no positve response while down 1 point really hurt.

Love RHJ but the odea that he described a team he SAW is part of the problem. Sometimes he looks like a spectator out there (and I have said in the past that maybe it is a too-man-consecutive-minutes thing for him.. maybe he needs to reserve energy for his effort-filled one on some moves.... but I do notice it).

I'd also suggest this rash of foul calls against PM.. some deserved some not.. has gotten into his head and it is adversely affecting his game when he is out there.

I thought the same thing during the game... way too much hero ball. That's where PM is missed when he has to sit with foul trouble. He's the straw that stirs the drink when it comes to our offense running smoothly. I swear it seems like the refs are out to shut him down, and it looks like he feels that way too with how frustrated he's been, but he needs to adjust... mentally and physically. Find out what Cliff did to adjust his game to how three blind mice call it. He's way to important to let all that take him out of rhythm and off the floor.
