Don't assume what can be explained by ponderously slow academic decision making is cover for some sort of clever gambit.Delay in suspension announcement due to Michigan negotiations with Howard to step down?
My theory/thinking is Michigan is negotiating for him to step down and asking B10 to wait for details to be ironed out. This game ended 24 hours ago. Michigan shouldn’t need to wait for the Big Ten to announce a punishment. They should be announcing their own punishment. Don’t know what’s taking so long. Not taking action today would be a really bad look for Michigan and the Big Ten.
This part is unfair. Seemed to me that is exactly what Howard wanted to do.. not stop to hear Gard's explanation/apology for the timeout which clearly visibly upset Howard.1. Why were you in the post game handshake line if not to shake hands and move on ?

My bad. This part is unfair. Seemed to me that is exactly what Howard wanted to do.. not stop to hear Gard's explanation/apology for the timeout which clearly visibly upset Howard.
So it was really Gard who stopped the line from moving on.
But that said.. we know Howards a hothead who reacted very poorly.
He needs help.
well.. in our game they certainly avoided the handshake thing... that was after he got an in-game T.. but.. watch... he was doing it.. seems to have just wanted to get thru it.. but when do you see coaches not share a word on the handshake line? Bad form.. should have given Gard the respect to say his thing and Gard should have realized Howard was not receptive..My bad.
Did not know JH just wanted to shake hands and move on.
Thought he was being passive-aggressive in not wanting to shake hands and move on.
No his intention was to walk through the line so he could tell Gard “I’ll remember that”This part is unfair. Seemed to me that is exactly what Howard wanted to do.. not stop to hear Gard's explanation/apology for the timeout which clearly visibly upset Howard.

Howard is a loser
Coaches grab coaches arms to talk to them after games! This is freaking normal! It's happened millions of times and it's never lead to a fight. Ever. Not once. And Gard physically stopped him... grabbed him
yeah.. I don't like Howard.. don't think much of his antics... but fair is fair. Find out everything... look at everything. Most people have seemingly rational explanations for the crazy-looking things they do. See if Howard's rationale goes beyond that he got angry.
Nothing can justify taking that swing.. but maybe other people were out of line and that led to that swing too.
I disagree. Obviously I wasn’t there, but looking at the video, if someone grabbed my arm like Gard did in that situation I would be pissed. Even with all that, Howard crossed the line you can’t cross.Coaches grab coaches arms to talk to them after games! This is freaking normal! There is zero logic to this train of thought
You can't really disagree though lol. Coaches grab other coaches arms all the time and it has never lead to a fight before. It's not an opinion it's historical evidence. Go back and watch countless games. And yes, even when coaches are heated it has happened countless timesI disagree. All about context here. One grab isn’t always like the other. Historical evidence is a little bit of a strong statement in this case since each interaction is unique within that moment. You can't really disagree though lol. I just got off the phone with Chris Christie and Mike Brey, and they recommended that both programs are disbanded giving us two wins. Everyone is happy. There is some real wacko responses here . There is no way to defend Howard . The only debate here about Howard should be whether to fire or suspend for the rest of this season .
The Gard debate is the one to have . I think he’s got to get suspended for at least a game.
I’m not saying Gard was completely innocent. I think he probably should get 1 game. And Gard physically stopped him... grabbed him

have you not seen the explanations of that? he had his bench in and wanted to coach them to get the ball across the midcourt... he called the TO to get them 10 seconds instead of 4.Apparently Howard called time out down 13 to Ohio St with 30 seconds left. What a two faced dick
You misunderstood my post. I am saying in a different game (Michigan vs Ohio st) Howard called time out despite game being overhave you not seen the explanations of that? he had his bench in and wanted to coach them to get the ball across the midcourt... he called the TO to get them 10 seconds instead of 4.
Gard was STILL COACHING.. it had nothing to do with being a dick.
Howard could have listened to the explanation when he saw Gard.. but he was too pissed off. He needs time to think about it.. looks like he will have plenty of that.
In another thread someone replied to my post that he did apologize.Logic says that he has been given a chance to issue an apology.
Then, they cut him when he refuses.
