Even if we went only .500 the remainder of the way, are we a lock with this record and resume? I think it could be close. If not already in, I think 1 win in the B1G tourney definitely cements the big dance.

I'd say yes if we get one more road win. Beat PSU at home and then a loss Wed may not matter. Just keep winning though to take all doubt away!

along with a Big 10 tourney win vs the 11 or 12 seed
Disagree - I think we're a lock at 12-8, barring crazy AQ results, especially since at least 2 of those 3 wins would be Q1, giving us 8 Q1 wins - no team with that kind of record has ever been left out as far as I know. We've broken the NET, seriously. I think we have a great shot at being in at 11-9 with 1 tourney win.

What I don’t understand is why a team with no bad losses but no “great” wins are always considered on the good side of the bubble, but a team with some bad losses but some “great” wins isnt yet. To me those are the same things. Michigan and UNC and Wazzu this year are perfect examples

Only unc is considered in and they are still on the last 8 in grouping if not last 4 in

No way you get in with 17 wins that would mean going 2-4 down the stretch. Luckily for you don't think this will happen . I think 4-2 is more like it the way they are playing now.

its enormous...if I had to pick beating Illinois or beating Wisconsin its the latter

RU just obliterated one of its red flags today
And we have one more away B1G win, now, vs. 2019/2020, when it was such a big deal when we beat Purdue at the end of the season - and WI is a much better team than that 16-15 Purdue team, so I think the road win thing is off our back, although I'd still rather beat Purdue away than IL at home in the next 2.

If your net is over 80 there are obvious red flags

Poor ooc sos
Bad losses
Poor efficiency

Ken pom is only listed on the net team sheet nothing more

If RU heads in the B1G tournament with a 21-9 record, none of these things will matter. How 'bout it guys? Just keep it going. You know you can.
Lol They do that they will not only be in but probably be out of the dreaded 8/9 seed also.

If we actually managed to win out the regular season we would do better than an 8 seed. But I think some people here might be getting a little ahead of themselves lol

We should just win out and win the big 10 regular season. One game at a time. If guys stay focused it could happen. LFG

The team is playing amazing. But winning 3 out of the next 6 or 4 of 7 (with a conf tourney win) is going to be really hard. I've moved from being excited that we went from dead to having a path, to now sweating out if the team stays hot to get 3 more wins from this ridiculous schedule.

We were very worried about the gauntlet at the start of it but now we’re 3-0 so far. Let’s keep it up

I would hope you would be correct but we are still listed at # 81 overall today ? Though even after our early poor start we have beaten at least 6 teams in conference ranked from # 3 to # 39 . So it seems almost impossible to crack even the top 40 now regardless when we win on Wednesday . It appears Dave Revsine is correct the system would need an overhaul.

We have a lot of bad to awful losses. Everyone likes to cite Lafayette, but there is also DePaul, UMASS, Minnesota, and Maryland.

I’d rather beat both

Illinois is as important as the road wins for 2 reasons.

1) If we can find a way to pull it off, we then would have beaten every team ahead of us in the standings at least once.

2) A good showing - especially a win - might call some national attention to Geo’s absence from the blow out loss (and the 2 other games he missed that we lost - UMass and Seton Hall).
