Actually, he is the type we need to compete in the Big Ten. A strong inside presence who can bang And rebound And play D. Like Miller and Jones, he’ll need some seasoning.
Can he score? We have a lot of guys who can bang

Believe he hurt his ankle recently
Went up for a rebound in their game on 1/16 and came down on an opposing player, twisting his ankle and causing a lot of swelling. A later news article after their game on 1/23 stated that he expects to be back "within a few weeks".... So hopefully nothing too serious.

It’s been a few weeks but I remember liking what I saw in his video. Seemed strong and agile with a good finishing touch around the rim. Definitely reminded me of Rashod Kent.

I must have watched the same reel as you. I remember thinking that he’s got some tools to work with. Good hands, good athlete, big body, and physical.

More of an Adrian Hill-type player...and there's nothing wrong with that.

2007 against Seton Hall at the RAC. JR Inman hit some big shots in the final minute of regulation, but I think Hill almost went for 20 and 20. RU hoops didn’t produce a lot of memorable games when I was a student, but that one was great — and the RAC was alive!

The issue is he's listed at 6'7" and doesn't have an outside game. It's a tough profile for a high-major guy (they exist, but it's rare). He needs to have an absolute non-stop motor.

Hence Rashod Kent!
I don''t remember Rashod ever taking a jump shot. He was dynamic at positioning and getting his shot off under the basket

He could be a nice piece but we need stars. Baker and Harper will leave and unless Pikes really works the portal we will look like a 70's team trying to pound the ball inside.

No freshman is going to be a star. Who's the best freshman in the Big Ten this year? Either Max Christie or Caleb Houstan, and both have been somewhat disappointing considering they were 5 stars. Maybe Moussa Diabate, also a 5 star. But none of these guys are "stars" as freshmen.

Who's the fourth best freshman in the Big Ten?

Bryce McGowens and Malaki Branham are among the top five.

This is my concern with Woolfolk, his tape has me on the fence. Like he looks like his post game is good, has some nice moves, finishing, and patience. But he doesn't seem to be twitchy, seems to be a step slow, and I don't know if he has the size/speed to play at this level. It feels like he would be like a kid like Ralph. Where you send him to the C-Usa/MWC and he is a pretty good player, but the B10 may be a bit much. Hope I am wrong
He’s big and strong and can develop. Listed at 250 lbs which is only five pounds less than Monster Myles Johnson. He’s not being brought in to just dunk.

Since Cliff, all we have gotten are projects. So basically we either get nothing, he develops into a bench contributor in two years, or he surprises and transfers to Oregon. This recruiting model is no longer working .

If Woolfolk can bang and score a few putbacks, he'll see minutes early, how many, I'd think, will depend on who he can matchup w defensively, game to game..
