I’m sending a truck to fetch all your worldly possessions.
I do some pretty childish things at times, no doubt. Just not so much with sports, unless it’s me playing. I will analyze the games I watch, especially soccer with which I have a bunch of training and experience both as a player and coach. And so I’ll have constructive criticism about a player or team performance. But I do that win or lose. Good game or bad. There is always stuff to improve upon, in every game.
I rarely, if ever, say or even think stuff like “so and so sucks“, or otherwise insult any team members for which I’m rooting, usually not even about players on opposing teams unless they do something really crappy, like throw an elbow at one of our guys.
I will sometimes toss out a childish remark or two about refs or officials.
Maybe it‘s from years of coaching, but my demeanor while viewing sporting contests is almost always calm and analytical, and I keep my emotions in check. I never got a red, or even yellow, card while coaching. If I wanted to get on a ref, I’d get an assistant to draw the card. Because winning is easier with the head coach than without.
As a player, I’m more emotional and have drawn some red cards at times, even as an adult.
